Farmers warn food aisles will soon be empty because of crushing conditions: 'We are not in a good position' The United Kingdom is facing dire food shortages, forcing prices to skyrocket, and experts predict this is only the beginning.
What's happening? According to a report by The Guardian, extreme weather is wreaking havoc on crops across the region. England experienced more rainfall during the past 18 months than it has over any 18-month period since record-keeping began in 1836.

Each one, Teach one! Grow what you can where you are. Every bit of food you produce yourself, or buy locally, does nothing but help you, your family and your local growers/farmers. :)

Please, send some of that rain my way here in central Kansas. Wheat looks pretty good now, but it sure needs a drink.
Back in the mid 1970s a farm magazine(Progressive Farmer) we took since 1960 warned us of shortages due to THE COMING ICE AGE forcing crops, grown in the North to be now grown in the South, and we had better get ready for it!
In 2006 or so, the same magazine warned us of shortages due to...GLOBAL WARMING! I dropped the magazine as they could no longer be relied on to give a true forecast.
In the 1930s depression and dust bowl US farmers still produced so much food steak was the cheapest thing on the market, yet so many had no jobs to buy that steak. The government had to come in and plow up some, bought up millions of cattle and hogs, shot and buried them to get the price UP. No one had jobs to buy that food.
Ten years later the same agri agents were begging farmers to increase production for the War Effort.
Al Reuters -
“Sainsbury’s, Britain’s second largest supermarket group, expects food inflation to remain in “low single digits” in 2024, its boss said on Thursday.
British food inflation leapt to a 45-year high of 19.2% in March 2023 on surging energy costs, labour shortages and disruption to Ukrainian exports, but it fell to 4% in March, according to official data.”
So, which is it? If there’s a food shortage, prices would certainly remain high. According to this UK grocer, food prices in the UK will be coming DOWN.

Yep. We’re ALL gonna die. I plan on dying with a bellyful of homegrown vegetables and pasture-raised beef. :)
“I finally have a goal.
I want to be the cause of the complete extinction of all mankind. “
I think we have found Klaus Schwab’s Freep handle !
I want to be the All-Being, Master of Time, Space, and Dimension ... and then I want to go to Europe.
Water for plants? Oh my. If you have runoff, improved your soil so it can suck up more water. That means adding organic matter, not white powdered fertilizers. Be a microbe rancher and your veggies will love you.
Water, like from the toilet?
Used to be a bad thing to have cockroaches in the house. Soon they will be prized as a food source. Home grown!
They’re right:
“Crushing conditions” = ‘climate change’ fraud-based regulations by the bureaucratic state (aka apt acronym, “BS”).
Not me. I just want to exterminate all life on Earth, down to the microbe.
Spot on
We don’t have to give our $$$ to Biden he’s taking it.
Note post #17
Don’t think for a minute that there are not powers making sure the production of food is stifled. Frogs in the caldron on low heat
The stupidity about man made climate change will drop all meat production and go to one protein producer using bugs for the entire nation. Someone will pull the plug on tons of growing bugs and kill the entire production. America will turn to plant sources which will turn out to cause more cancer because of insecticides and soil conditions. “Stupid is as stupid does.”
It’s good to have goals!
My goals are achievable. I’m going to focus a major gamma ray burst onto the planet.
Nuke it from orbit..
