Last week, as the country was swept up in Caitlin Clark mania, Joe Biden — or whoever was holding his phone — sent out a pandering tweet, asking for compensation parity in women’s sports.
It was a request meant to celebrate the sisterhood, but had little regard for the financial realities of professional sports.
But days later, the Biden administration announced plans to kneecap lady athletes: introducing sweeping, radical changes to Title IX that would trample on fairness for females in locker rooms, sports and other single-sex spaces. All with absolutely no regard for biological reality.

I do. Those trying to impose the policies hate women and those supporting the policies have been convinced that being female is somehow a lower order from male.
You probably wouldn’t be surprised how many women take stripes off me when I tell them what I think about feminism and equality. It’s anti-women, but these women think that equality means functioning in the same sphere as men.
Who cares? This should be left up to the participants.
When did conservatives decide that it is morally and legally acceptable for the government to tell anyone how to run a sports program? And that goes for the current bureaucratic idiocy as well as the original Title IX rules.
You have far more patience than me if you’re willing to deal with morons like that.
God has given us principles to abide by as guard rails to prevent us from disappearing in history, because the wages of not abiding by the guard rails is death. Both the individual and society. I think it’s important to try and have a society that exists for our children and not leave them a Mad Max world to fight to survive in.
The rebellion against the God-given principles is why we run the gamut from Mad Max to peace and prosperity and back to Mad Max.
Within the principles that God has given us, I believe in maximum freedom as long as that freedom is not being used to harm people.
“I have yet to have anyone explain to me how women competing in segregated sports leagues is any different than
And what do you think about sex-”segregated” restrooms? That’s the appropriate comparison to your “ ... black people using separate restaurants and bathrooms.”
You’re talking to the wrong person. I don’t view segregated sports or washrooms to be the same as segregating upon race.
Segregated sports are necessary for males to exercise their full masculinity unrestrained, except by rules, and necessary for the women so she doesn’t get tackled by a 230lb male at full force.
Sex segregated washrooms is for the protection of females.
Yes, but the number of men who can is multiple folds greater than women. There are probably ten times the number of men, compared to women, who can do that.
Even if every women could do it, they should still not be allowed in combat, except remotely, or they can be the support for the troops.
Oh yea I’m not arguing against you, just saying the numbers you picked are Avery small subset of both men or women. Drop them a bunch (say 35 lb @ 3/6 mi) and you have something most men can do relatively easily, while most women will still struggle quite a bit.
“You’re talking to the wrong person.”
My apologies; my comment was meant to be for #7 above. I still don’t understand his comparison of sex-segregated sports to race-segregated restaurants.
I saw a facebook video with a colonel as to why he didn’t support women out in the field.
His words were, “When you load a backpack that weighs 120lbs on her back and take her for a field march, they fold like a f*****g crouton.”
It was just the way he said that caused me to laugh.
I fully support women doing what they want with their lives, but we have to operate in the realm of what works.
If she wants to go in the military, it should be in positions where she can be an asset. Having her carry a 20lb backpack, while dividing the rest of her load amongst the rest of the troops is not an asset imo.
Bea Arthur, probably the toughest woman in America and you can hear that in her voice, drove supply when she served in WWII. SHe was an asset.
If you read her subsequent comments, it’s based on libertarian=conservatism in letting people decide for themselves what they do and the government should stay out of it.
In my view, you can’t separate morality from our actions and have society survive for long
Post #17 captures the problem perfectly. Title IX should have been fought when it was being cited by schools that shut down perfectly good male sports teams because they couldn’t meet the Federal government’s asinine demand that women/girls comprise 50% of their student-athletes.
