Michael Douglas, 79, says Biden, 81, isn't too old for a second term: 'We all have an issue with memory when we get older!'

Michael Douglas has given his take on whether Joe Biden is too old to run again.

During a Sunday appearance on CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, the Oscar-winner, 79, was asked whether Biden was in good enough cognitive shape to continue.

'Well I think that I walk a little similar to him, and the people that I've talked to say he is as sharp as a tack... he's fine,' Douglas, two years Biden's junior, said.

'We all have an issue with memories as we get older, we forget names.

'He's overcome a stutter in his life and sometimes he might [stutter], but let's just say his entire cabinet including his vice-president would be more than happy to work with him again in the next term.

'I cannot say that about the other candidate running because nobody in his in his cabinet for 2016 wants to be involved with him,' he said of Trump.

Zakaria further pushed Douglas, asking whether Biden would be able to run the country four years from now, when he is well into his 80s. If Biden, already the oldest president ever, wins re-election, he will be 86 by the end of his second term.

'I think he'll be fine, thank you very much,' repeated the actor, who plays Benjamin Franklin on Apple TV's Franklin, which depicts the founding father's time in Paris during the Revolutionary War.

'This is probably the most important election of my lifetime. This is the most critical time of my lifetime that I can remember. We need somebody in control who has some experience and knows how to work a global situation.'

Just for reference, I’m 70. If you had a population of candidates for executive and all else, experience, knowledge, etc. is held constant, I’d go for someone between 40 and 60. You get the best in mental acuity, physical health and other attributes necessary to be an executive. There’s a lot of social aspects that go along with the job, dinners, politicking, diplomacy, which tend to slip away in the more advanced years. There are exceptions, of course, but I think America would be best suited by someone who can walk up stairs and who doesn’t pause to sniff children’s hair.

It is NOT Biden’s age and memory loss that is the main issue of a vote.

It is his TOTAL lack of integrity and competence that should be the main consideration when voting.

We could discuss this in detail Michael. When age creeps up on us our mortality becomes something tangible that we can’t ignore. As such, it’s a good time in life to examine what is true, what is not, what is right, what is wrong, and how the dogma we all at some point latch onto is not what it seems. Ultimately, IMHO, it is that road that leads to the protection of individuals and of innocence that is the right road. Biden is a criminal who has gotten away with things that many people have been imprisoned for.

I’m 83 and assert that one is still a wet behind the ears punk in the 40-60 age group. This phenomena just doesnt dawn on you until later in life when it’s too late to make amends for your blunders.

He should stick to reading his lines... in the movies. He probably has little or no formal education. His opinions show he is not really all that intelligent. He was asked about he age of Joe Biden, which infers the man’s known conditon. Joe is too old to change his own diapers.

Maybe they should have asked him if Joe Biden had the resquest mental facilities to manage Michael Douglas’ own estate and would he blindly trust Joe with his wealth and finances? If so, draw up the paperwork and put Joe in Charge - I’m sure the woke bunch at the white hut could find a way to get 10% to the big guy, and maybe 10% for the Queen of Ukraine’s coke problem.

'I think he'll be fine, thank you very much,' repeated the actor,

If that statement doesn't inspire confidence....shesh.

Biden can’t maintain a train of thought for more than 2 sentences. This isn’t just minor memory loss.

I thought he'd finally grow up when his dad passed away, but I guess not.

'He's overcome a stutter in his life and sometimes he might [stutter], but let's just say his entire cabinet including his vice-president would be more than happy to work with him again in the next term.

Biden doesn't stutter, and it's no surprise that the people he gave jobs to would rather keep the jobs which they'd surely lose if somebody else were elected.
