Our border being unsecured is more important than Ukraine.
Whether Ukraine exists or not, doesn’t matter.
What matters is our border.

Try this once more
The US has not significantly aided Ukraine for 7 months, jas the border situation improved?
Tying aid to Ukraine as somehow causing the borders to be unsecured is false.

Border has been unsecured for a long time, long before the war in Ukraine began, they are separate and unrelated issues.

The republicans tried to tie border security to aid to Ukraine to get action on border security, but it has failed. In that regard only is border security related to aid to Ukraine.

The only solution to the border problems is the election of Trump and a wholesale cleaning out of swamp creatures in DC, but that will be a challenge as Trump found out first time around.
Border insecurity is a swamp desire not a dem only desire, plenty of swamp creatures in Republican Party

If aid to Ukraine is stopped(as it has been for months), if Russia takes Ukraine and then takes Europe to be hyperbolic, there still will be no change at the border. Again because action on either are not related.

I get your position, border security, don’t care about Ukraine, fine. Once again, no aid to Ukraine will not make the border secure

Try this: The United States border is of more importance than Ukraine.
Period.
Ignoring the border is not a valid option.

Try this
Aiding Ukraine is not ignoring the border

They are two distinct issues that are not related except in the political realm

Just like border security is purely a politically created problem

I assume you can eat a happy meal while driving?

mass55th: "Wake up Skippy.
Are you that naive, or have you been living in a cave?
The illegal alien problem has been going on here for decades.
It hasn't gone away just because of RAT policy."

"Wake up Skippy"??!
You seemingly have no clue as to what is really going on along our borders.
Do you know there are qualitative and quantitative differences between illegal immigration today under Biden as compared to Pres. Trump's term?
The numbers today are almost unimaginable -- circa 10 million under Biden, compared to just 2 million under Trump.

For another comparison, in 1992 the Federal INS estimated 3.4 million unauthorized immigrants, or about 1% of the US population.
In 2021 the INS estimate was over 10 million, or roughly 3% of total population.

In 2018, Yale University estimated around 20 million unauthorized immigrants, which could suggest that today's numbers are approaching 30 million, however, there are no estimates more recent than 2021 that I can find to confirm or refute any of these.

My point is that because there's a constant flow both in and out of the US, the reported arrival of 10 million unauthorized immigrants does not necessarily imply an illegal population 10 million higher than before.
And just to be clear, census numbers on which reapportionment calculations are made for US congressional districts, those are based on actual counts, not on estimates from places like Yale University.
And based on actual counts used for reapportionment in 2021, unauthorized immigrants totaled circa 11 million, or about 3% of the US population.
If that number today is 17 million, it would make unauthorized immigrants roughly 5% of the US population.
Yes, they are heavily concentrated in big city Democrat districts.

mass55th: "Congressional Republicans could have done plenty over the years during the sessions they had the majority, but like failing to protect people's ballots from voter fraud, they've been MIA on the issue."

So, we're talking about the 115th Congress, when Republicans controlled both houses and with Pres. Trump in the White House.
During those years Republicans made several efforts at immigration reform, most of them supported by Pres. Trump, but none of which passed.
Perhaps the most significant were HR 6136 and HR 4760, both proposed by VA Republican Congressman Goodlatte, both supported by Pres. Trump and opposed by every Democrat, as being "too harsh", but both defeated because some Republicans, including Matt Gaetz, Steve King, Lou Barletta and even Ron DeSantis, presumably believed they were "too soft" on illegal immigrants, or so it appears.

Who was right and who was wrong?
As I see it, Pres. Trump was willing to support Republican immigration & border bills, so that's what was right.
Those who opposed Trump were in the wrong, imho.

mass55th: "LOL!! I've been here over 26 years.
I'm going nowhere.
What an arrogant, pompous individual you are.
Do you own this site?
Go peddle your stupidity to someone who might want to hear it.
You sound just like a bossy Karen who can't stop telling people what to do with their lives."

Naw, I don't care what you do with your life.
But if you are here to tell us that the Constitution is dead and America is gone, and the United States is just rubble now, and all that's left is violence and destruction, then I'm here to tell you where you can stick such nonsense ideas.

Are we clear on this, or do you need it explained more?

It is.
We are running a horrific deficit.
And it is a war we have zero responsibility to be involved in.

Darksheare #228: "Oh look, someone who tells others they’re putinistas for not supporting the war adventure.
How droll."

Darksheare "Oh, you don’t like it.
Quaint."

Neither "droll" nor "quaint" are arguments or facts that in any way challenge the truth of this matter, which is:

Darksheare: "We are running a horrific deficit.

You guys simply refuse to understand the basic facts of life in this matter, which begin here:

From the Democrats' perspective, neither the deficit nor our border are "flaws" or "mistakes" or "failures", rather, they are features of Democrat party government, and they are intended to help accomplish Democrat existential goals of reducing the US to a country of permanent Democrat majority voters.

Therefore, you will never "correct" the Democrats' "mistakes", or "fix" their "problems", you will never negotiate them away from their existential policies.
So long as Democrats are in political power, Democrats will be Democrats and will do what Democrats do.

You are not going to use Ukraine as leverage over the US borders, because Democrats care far more about keeping our own borders open than they do about helping Ukraine -- Democrats are clear on their own priorities.

There is only one way to stop Democrats from being Democrats, and that is to defeat them in elections, hopefully the one on November 5.

Once Republicans can make policy again, then we can debate issues of relative priorities and how to balance the budget, etc.
But in the meantime, it's a 100% wasted effort, and certainly counterproductive for anyone who has any sympathies for Ukraine & Ukrainians.

Of course, if you hate Ukraine and love Russia, then these kinds of debates are exactly what you want to do, and the more heated the debates, the better you love it.

But what if you're "neutral"?
Sadly, there is no "neutral" in the face of Russian evil.

There is, however, always, always, Diplomacy, which everyone knows is:

Naw... I'm just letting you know that if you imagine your words "droll", "quaint", "dismiss" or "bloviate" somehow substitute for genuine facts or arguments, then obviously you went to a Leftist indoctrination school, where they teach such tactics in dealing with pesky conservative facts & reasons.

It rustles your jimmies when you go out of your way to go full bore verbose to try and pretend to be intellectual and someone just ignores it.
