Border has been unsecured for a long time, long before the war in Ukraine began, they are separate and unrelated issues.
The republicans tried to tie border security to aid to Ukraine to get action on border security, but it has failed. In that regard only is border security related to aid to Ukraine.
The only solution to the border problems is the election of Trump and a wholesale cleaning out of swamp creatures in DC, but that will be a challenge as Trump found out first time around.

If aid to Ukraine is stopped(as it has been for months), if Russia takes Ukraine and then takes Europe to be hyperbolic, there still will be no change at the border. Again because action on either are not related.
I get your position, border security, don’t care about Ukraine, fine. Once again, no aid to Ukraine will not make the border secure
