It is.
We are running a horrific deficit.
And it is a war we have zero responsibility to be involved in.
You guys simply refuse to understand the basic facts of life in this matter, which begin here:
From the Democrats' perspective, neither the deficit nor our border are "flaws" or "mistakes" or "failures", rather, they are features of Democrat party government, and they are intended to help accomplish Democrat existential goals of reducing the US to a country of permanent Democrat majority voters.
Therefore, you will never "correct" the Democrats' "mistakes", or "fix" their "problems", you will never negotiate them away from their existential policies.
So long as Democrats are in political power, Democrats will be Democrats and will do what Democrats do.
You are not going to use Ukraine as leverage over the US borders, because Democrats care far more about keeping our own borders open than they do about helping Ukraine -- Democrats are clear on their own priorities.
There is only one way to stop Democrats from being Democrats, and that is to defeat them in elections, hopefully the one on November 5.
Once Republicans can make policy again, then we can debate issues of relative priorities and how to balance the budget, etc.
But in the meantime, it's a 100% wasted effort, and certainly counterproductive for anyone who has any sympathies for Ukraine & Ukrainians.
Of course, if you hate Ukraine and love Russia, then these kinds of debates are exactly what you want to do, and the more heated the debates, the better you love it.
But what if you're "neutral"?
Sadly, there is no "neutral" in the face of Russian evil.
There is, however, always, always, Diplomacy, which everyone knows is:
