Donald Tusk is a putz. The good thing is that he doesn’t have enough votes to get this through. His coalition partner is an ostensibly conservative party that isn’t going for this.
Why was PO voted in?
Well they gave a standard base of leftists, but got 3 percent more as the previous, conservative party had been in power 8 years. Also the biggest vote gain was for a new party “Third way” who are the ostensibly conservative party I referred to in my first paragraph
Poland elected conservative party majority, but got something very different. The Polish ruling coalition (235/459 seats in the Sejm) is made up of the Civic Coalition with 156 seats, Poland 2050 with 32 seats, and Polish Coalition with 32 seats, and The Left with 19 Seats. Civic Coalition is often called a conservative pro-European party, but has taken a left turn in the last few years. But I can guarantee, they didn’t campaign on hate crime laws. Poland 2050 is a new party and campaigned as Christian Democrats in opposition to the ruling Law and Justice Party and Civic Coalition. Polish Coalition is a center-right group representing minority groups and farmers. The Left has 19 seats but seems to be running Poland

What the hell are you talking about ? They are ALREADY convicting people in the courts under hate crime laws.
But you say, oh no it will never happen. Some political party who aligns with Donald Tusk will never do it. Sure.....
