Donald Trump has raised $50.5 million at a Florida fundraiser for his 2024 re-election campaign - the highest amount ever raised at a single event.
Saturday's $250,000-a-ticket bash was held at the Palm Beach home of Trump supporter John Paulson, and slightly exceeded the $50m fundraising total organizers predicted.
The enormous amount is almost double the $26 million Joe Biden's campaign recently raised at a New York City bash which boasted the added star-power of former Democrat presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
'It's clearer than ever that we have the message, the operation, and the money to propel President Trump to victory on November,' Team Trump told AP.
The presidential hopeful was supported at the dinner by wife Melania, who broke her recent low-profile to dazzle in a tropical, pink jumpsuit.

I disagree. I think she’s stunning, and I like the way she has the floral on the bottom part.
Beautiful pant dress. Comfortable outfit. I would wear that. She’s relaxed and not showy like the grinning horses that we saw in past.
Trump was joined by wife Melania for the occasion, who is said to be joining her husband's campaign trail on her own terms.Part of this is an event she is slated to host for LGBT Republicans on April 20.
It’s a jumpsuit and she looks great. Get over yourself.
By all reports, a successful Florida-focused event.
Wrong thread, but this was successful Trump event.
I’m not going to throw a stone at Melania for that.
She is always stunning, and the bottom part is fine. It’s the top that is not right.
I will have to defer to others. I think she’s tasteful and full of charisma. She actually could wear drapes and pull it off.
We love them both very very much. God is in the details on this one. God bless free Republic and have a good night everyone.
Melania...impeccably beautiful as always!
Clinton, Obama, and Biden are together as if they were three brothers from different mothers. George Bush would not be within 100 miles of a Trump event
Oh, no doubt.
I really try hard to NOT look at clothes or appearance or weight or other physical traits, because it’s what’s in the heart and mind that reigns supreme. I never trashed Hillary or Michelle’s looks, and frankly their were more ugly than their looks ever were.
For the record, Jill (or whoever is dressing her) has established a level of awful that I thought ended in the 70s. Her dresses are not only ugly - and, again, I’m a guy so what do I know? - but they sit on her like a sack. It’s the worst of all worlds.
Again, this is sort of a “who cares?” sort of thing for me. I would have been fine never saying a word….
…but Jill gets on the cover of magazines while Melania was blacklisted. And they CHEER for this awful apparel and attire. It reminds me of Ceaușescu‘s wife, who was hated by all but was “cheered” as a chemistry whiz lest the cheerleaders get executed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elena_Ceau%C8%99escu#Reputation_as_a_chemistry_researcher
So yea, they made this an issue. Jill dresses like a station wagon. And I am a straight married guy so I don’t know the particulars, but I know an awful dress when I see it.
Which brings me to Melania’s outfit…and a mandate for honesty. If I’m gonna throw bricks at Jill because they made this a thing, then we need to refine our home team. It’s not Jill-level awful. But it may be the worst thing she’s worn in public since 2015.
“the highest amount ever raised at a single event.”
BOOM. Go DJT!
Jill looks like a tranny who just can’t get the hang of women’s clothing and makeup.
I think if she wore that in NYC it would be bad. But in Florida, that sort of pattern and style is part of the fashion culture down there.
I agree 100%! She is beautiful.
But I've seen her in better fashion, IMHO.
I never trashed Hillary or Michelle’s looks, and frankly their VIEWS were more ugly than their looks ever were.
I was also quite surprised to see this, and I suspect that when Melania sees the pictures, she also will wonder what she’d been thinking.
Kitty kitty
