Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said Sunday that he expects to move a package including aid for Ukraine with “some important innovations” when the House returns from recess.
In an interview on “Sunday Night in America With Trey Gowdy,” Johnson stressed the difficult position he’s in, with a historically narrow House majority, but said he was working throughout the current work period to come up with a package and plans to put it on the floor when the House gavels back into session.

Z’s whole crew! Hah, still riding the carcass I see. Not to fear, your MIC heroes will blunder us into their next misadventure soon enough. We know after 250,000 additional, totally unnecessary deaths since your heroes quashed the peace, your bloodlust has yet to be satiated. They aren’t done yet! More blood and misery on the way for you ghouls to revel in.

OldHarbor: [So let’s get the Hollywood script straight,500 Poles flying obsolete bombers held together with baling wire embark on a mass suicide attack against Russia.
Whew ! make sure the flight leader is a transvestite, leading the queer Squadron ! .
Finally the Trans will get the glory !

Republican Suicide.
Certain.
“Johnson is going to package up $billions in seized Russian central bank assets and give them to Zelensky. When he does this he will join Pirate Scholz and become Pirate Johnson. “
Scores of countries worldwide will pull their reserves and assets out of the US.
It would clearly cross the STUPID threshold.
Just plain stupid.
exactly, BRICS will get a sudden surge of membership applications.
I don’t think Johnson has the backbone to withstand the pressure of the Dims and the media to keep the money gravytrain going to Ukraine (while not doing anything about the U.S. borders). The Dims need the kickbacks from Ukraine for bribes and walking around money. The Big Government/Defense Industry owned Republicans want their defense lobbyist money to spend on reelection campaigns.
The big majority of them (both parties) are irretrievably corrupt.
NO!!!!
Wtf do they HAVE on Congress??? Blackmail, for sure.
Kick them all out!!!!!!!
F Ukraine, and all its supporters. Our grandkids, the ones that will actually PAY taxes, owe 1 million dollars EACH already to the fedgov, not including unfunded liabilities!!!
More deficit spending?!???
WHY EVER VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN AGAIN????
I’m sick of it too.
Thanks Zhang Fei.
We should give Ukraine all you zeeper freaks to use as cannon fodder.
FU and the Ukraine! What about our borders?
The GOP is finished. As is America.
America is finished. Borders don’t matter to the GOP grifters.
any support should be conditional and the condition is to start negotiations for a immediate cease fire and
arranging a peace agreement.

2nd- Ukraine Peace Plan - 2022/12/28
Excerpts from the Ukrainian 10-point peace formula outlined:
1. RADIATION AND NUCLEAR SAFETY
Russia must immediately withdraw all its militants from the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The station must be immediately transferred to the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency and Ukrainian personnel. The normal connection of the station to the power grid must be restored immediately so that nothing threatens the stability of the reactors.
The same goes for the crazy threats of nuclear weapons that Russian officials resort to. There are and cannot be any excuses for nuclear blackmail.
2. FOOD SECURITY
the initiative, Grain From Ukraine has already begun. Ukraine can export 45 million tonnes of food this year. And let a significant part of it be directed to those who suffer the most.
Each country can join with a specific contribution and become a co-creator of the victory over hunger and the food crisis.
3. ENERGY SECURITY
About 40% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was destroyed by strikes of Russian missiles and Iranian drones used by the occupiers.
A related goal of this terror is to prevent the export of our electricity to neighboring countries, which could significantly help them stabilize the energy situation and reduce prices for consumers.
I thank all our partners who have already helped Ukraine with the supply of air defense and missile defense systems. This allows us to shoot down some of the Russian missiles and Iranian drones.
If Russia is trying to deprive Ukraine, Europe and all energy consumers in the world of predictability and price stability, the answer is price restrictions on Russian energy resources & forced limitation of export prices for Russia.
4. PRISONERS and DEPORTEES
Thousands of UKRAINIANS – military and civilians – are in the Russian captivity being subjected to torture.
In addition, 11,000 children know by name were forcibly deported to Russia. They are separated from their parents in full knowledge that they have families.
Additionally, hundreds of thousands of deported adults and political prisoners are held in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territory as well as in Crimea.
We must release all these people.
5. UNITED NATIONS CHARTER AND UKRAINE’S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY
The validity of international law must be restored without any compromises with the aggressor. The UN Charter cannot be applied partially, selectively or at will.
Russia must reaffirm the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the framework of the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly and the applicable international legally binding documents. It is not up to negotiations.
6. RUSSIAN TROOPS AND HOSTILITIES
Russia must withdraw all troops and armed formations from the territory of Ukraine. Control over all sections of Ukraine’s border with Russia must be restored. This will result in a real and complete cessation of hostilities.
7. JUSTICE
The world should endorse the Special Tribunal regarding the crime of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and create of an international mechanism to compensate for all damages caused by this war. Compensation at the expense of Russian assets because as the aggressor must be responsible to do everything to restore the justice it violated.
A resolution of the UN General Assembly regarding an international compensation mechanism for damages caused by the Russian war has been proposed and endorsed.
8. IMMEDIATE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Millions of hectares of forest were burned by shelling. Almost 200,000ha of Ukraine land is contaminated with unexploded mines and shells.
I thank all the countries that are already helping us with de-mining. However, there is an urgent need for increased number of equipment and experts for these operations.
Funds and technologies are also needed for the restoration of water treatment facilities.
9. PREVENTION OF ESCALATION
Ukraine is not a member of any alliances. Russia was able to start this war precisely because Ukraine remained in the grey zone – between the Euro-Atlantic world and the Russian imperialism.
An international conference should be held to finalize the key elements of the post-war security architecture in the Euro-Atlantic space, including guarantees for Ukraine. The main outcome of the conference should be the signing of the Kyiv Security Compact.
10. CONFIRMATION OF THE END OF THE WAR
A document confirming the end of the war should be signed by the parties when all the anti-war measures are implemented and security and justice begin to be restored.
States ready to take the lead in this or that decision can become parties to the arrangement.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the seven-hundred-sixty-eighth day of the war.
Day 768: Apr 01
Today, there is a lot of good news from the Kupiansk direction.
Here, Russian forces have been persistently attempting to close in on the critical city of Kupiansk for months. They have been alternating various attack vectors from multiple points along the entire line of contact, with a particular focus on Synkivka, a key area in this direction.
As some military analysts indicated, the Russian command appears to employ here the following tactic. Firstly, they launch an attack on one vector, usually with high-cost frontal attacks, both in personnel and equipment, which generally end up exhausting their combat capability. At this point, this force has to pause to reconstitute itself, and simultaneously, the attack is initiated at another point of the front line. This sequence iterates again, allowing Russian forces to maintain the initiative and accumulate marginal gains over time.
As for Synkivka, the Ukrainian forces achieved a significant tactical victory after weeks of intense positional fighting. Recent geolocated images confirm that they successfully launched a decisive counterattack using armored fighting vehicles, and they have recaptured several positions north of Synkivka, effectively pushing the Russian forces back northward and into the forest.
The footage, filmed by a reconnaissance drone, starts with a Ukrainian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle arriving at a hamlet on the edge of the forest north of the village. This area was, in previous weeks, controlled by Russian forces. The images show how the vehicle takes position and begins to riddle a Russian position located about 400 meters to the north with its 30-millimeter cannon. Moments later, the Russian position begins to burn due to secondary explosions.
Russian analysts confirmed in subsequent days that the surviving Russian forces in this position withdrew into the forest. At the same time, additional Russian forces located in a grove of trees east of this position also retreated a kilometer further northwest towards Vilshana. As you will recall, Russian forces maintain their main base in the village of Lyman Pershyi, located in the forest’s center. As for the forest itself, Ukrainian forces also continued their extensive drone attacks, dropping shells on Russian trenches, equipment, and personnel. In particular, the footage also shows a large number of night operations, in which, thanks to night vision cameras, Ukrainian forces are also repelling Russian forces inside the forest.
Thanks to this counterattack, the Ukrainian forces have gained a small buffer zone next to the northern part of Synkivka, from the forest border to the road to Vilshana. A second video recorded by a Ukrainian fighter shows a brief walk through what was once one of the rows of houses north of the Synkivka, apparently without taking precautions as he walks, thus indicating this zone is now somehow away from the zero line. The shocking images show the high degree of destruction of what once was a village street. Every house, tree, and infrastructure is now completely demolished.
For the Ukrainian side, this breakthrough means that the Ukrainians are employing an active defense here and are taking advantage of any opportunity to conduct a counterattack, making clear the particular importance of this area for the defense of Kupiansk City. On the Russian side, the loss of positions could indicate that the Russian forces positioned here are badly degraded.
Ukrainian Khortytsia Group of Forces Spokesperson Captain Ilya Yevlash recently stated that Russian forces have intensified assaults along the frontline in the Kupyansk direction but noted that equipment and weapons shortages are limiting Russian forces’ ability to conduct offensive operations in this direction.
In addition, Russian forces may be also prioritizing other directions of the front at the moment. In this regard, a renowned Ukrainian military analyst noted weeks ago that units of the 272nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, which until now had been fighting in the direction of Kupiansk, had been redeployed in the direction of Lyman, potentially showing a temporary prioritization of this line over Kupiansk direction.
Overall, the Ukrainian forces, demonstrating their unwavering resilience, continue to fight fiercely in front of the Synkiva defensive line. They have successfully conducted a counterattack...
