Johnson says Ukraine aid will come up ‘right after’ recess and will include some ‘innovations’

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said Sunday that he expects to move a package including aid for Ukraine with “some important innovations” when the House returns from recess.

In an interview on “Sunday Night in America With Trey Gowdy,” Johnson stressed the difficult position he’s in, with a historically narrow House majority, but said he was working throughout the current work period to come up with a package and plans to put it on the floor when the House gavels back into session.

“Unfortunately, this is not April fools. Johnson, Schumer & the deep state are writing the Ukraine bill. Then Johnson will suspend rules to pass it.”

Ukraine ping

The innovation is rumored to be Lend Lease, where Ukraine picks what it wants, because it’s a loan, rather than a grant. If this leads to Ukraine getting large quantities of late model equipment rather than clapped-out decades-old gear, it could be a game-changer. Joe Biden has parceled out $100b in grants without handing over a single war plane. If he had sent 500 jet fighters of any kind along with the full panoply of air-launched guided munitiona (HARMs and JDAM kits), the Russians would be back across prewar boundaries.

What triggers the Roberts’ Rule that a motion to vacate MUST be addressed, before ANY other business is conducted?

What “innovations” Johnson? Quit the cute wording and just be honest.

Oh. I was hoping the innovation would be the articulation of war goals.

Oh please, Ukraine isn’t ever paying back anything. Johnson can’t be that stupid that he thinks we don’t know that.

He is just another lying traitor thinking of his own self. He can rot because he doesn’t care one whit about this country.

Tremendously BAD for American taxpayers and American children having massive debt being accumulated to hand to them.

We are being invaded as part of a communist destabilization campaign by the traitor Biden and Johnson is now a traitor too, if he was not already.

We should give Ukraine 20 F-35s with the understanding with have access to the jets through remote control. And we can destroy them if the Russians happen to capture them.

“ Oh. I was hoping the innovation would be the articulation of war goals.”
****************************************************

Why? It’s NOT OUR WAR. It’s some other people’s war. We have no ownership in this war and WE SHOULD NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP. Let those individuals who feel compelled to get involved in the war invest THEIR OWN money and THEIR OWN blood and the wealth and blood of THEIR own children.

But of course the warmongering idiots want to spend only OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY and spill OTHER PEOPLE’S BLOOD. I’m sick of their war lobbying here.

What “innovations” Johnson?

Johnson is going to package up $billions in seized Russian central bank assets and give them to Zelensky. When he does this he will join Pirate Scholz and become Pirate Johnson.

We should give the Ukraine you, but you'd rather send boys and girls to fight.

Why stop at 20? Why not give them 100? Why not 1000? Perhaps we can even supply US pilots. Why not sub launched ballistic missiles? You zeepers are maniacal.

I’m for a modified lend lease but we have so many cluster shells just sitting in storage around the world that could be shipped out to Ukraine immediately. And Ukraine has experience with the old stuff so get it to Ukraine as soon as possible.

I’ll tell you why—- because we’re picking up the tab. You pay the bill, you get to have your own war aims. Is our war aim the same as Ukraine’s? To push Russia off every bit of territory? That’s insane and not going to happen. So if it’s not too much trouble I’d like our government to tell us how we’ll know when we can stop writing checks
