Did you mean the French? I assume it was the French and the slaves. Nobody else. I didn't watch the video yet. But I need to check it out when I get a chance to do so.
The founders were lazy and should have picked their own cotton.
Worst decision in history by miles.
No, the mulatto elites that were the ruling class after the French left. Like in America, monsier la massa couldn’t keep his hands off the pretty house slaves, so made mulattos, who were also slaves, but higher up on the pecking order during slavery. So afterwards, they remained on top. Had more education, even if that meant that they were merely literate or knew on which side to put knives and forks, and how to bow elegantly. And as Haitian society evolved, they remained in the upper classes, and were the bosses of agriculture and whatever industry there was, and became officers in the military.
When, after winning his second term, Father Aristide was still extolling the virtues of “per le brun” (brother car tire), a euphemism for the South African practice of “necklacing,” it became clear that he wanted not just reparations from France, for which an argument could be made, but also revenge on the upper-class mulattos. But the clips shown in the video showing the crowds outside the palace calling for his ouster, were not mulattos but ink-dark blacks, which strikes me as strange.
They are different.
No one would be left. Given the chance everyone wanted slaves.
Tyson is doing the same thing by using illegals to fill out the positions at their poultry processing plants. There's always a need for cheap labor. There are some jobs that we just don't want to do.
You brought up Israel, bud.
And yeah, trillions is about right on the wars we fought on behalf of Israel.
On the list of “friends like this” list Israel ranks up with Europe on the wars we got dragged into because we always fight or fiance other nations interest and not our own.
(See Southern Border, Ukraine, Israel)
Go ask your best buds, France to bail you out of this and your next war after that.
America is tapped out.
You brought up Israel, bud.
I brought up our starting a nation from scratch despite all adversity. You then spoke out of your a@@ as follows
And yeah, trillions is about right on the wars we fought on behalf of Israel.
You didn’t fight sh!t on behalf of Israel. There were no wars on behalf of Israel. Once, Reagan deployed troops to Beirut to keep us from utterly destroying the PLO, but they left after the said PLO attacked them with a suicide truck and he couldn’t get authorization from Congress to declare war. That’s it.
1948, we fought on our own, despite an international arms blockade that seemed to only apply to Israel, not the states attacking us.
1953, we did the fighting in partnership with Britain and France, took the whole Sinai, and Eisenhower forced us to give it back.
1967, as I mentioned, the US was supplying Jordan, not us. We were allied with France, and paid our way by helping them develop Mirage fighter jets.
1973, again. We fought it, not the US.
1981, we fought into Lebanon, and the US intervened ill-advisedly to prevent us from finishing off the PLO.
Now list the wars that the US supposedly fought on behalf of Israel. You are talking out your a@@.
“Go ask your best buds, France to bail you out of this and your next war after that.
America is tapped out.”
We don’t need you, and we certainly don’t need France. We don’t need a bail-out. Period. Take your f@#$ing aid, and your f@#$ing interventions into our wars, which your President caused by allowing Iran to evade the sanctions Trump put on them, and sell oil to China. Take it all, and stick it where the sun don’t shine, along with your ignorance and stupid attitude.
And we’re still living rent-free in your head. It stinks in there like rotting meat.
