Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff angrily condemned former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, calling him 'anti-Semitic' for claiming that Jews who vote for Democrats 'hate Israel.'
Trump criticized the Biden administration and Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer during an interview with former White House advisor and now-radio host Sebastian Gorka.
'I really believe they hate Israel,' the former president said about the Democrats.
Emhoff addressed Trump's comments during a campaign visit to Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday.
'This is a disgusting, toxic, antisemitic thing to say by anyone, let alone a former president of the United States,' said Emhoff about Trump's remakrs about the conflict between Gaza and Israel...
Trump's comments also earned condemnation from the Anti-Defamation League.
'Accusing Jews of hating their religion because they might vote for a particular party is defamatory and patently false,' wrote Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League on X in response to Trump.
Greenblatt was a White House advisor to both Clinton and Obama during their administrations.
Emhoff criticized Trump even after his daughter Ella was caught promoting fundraising for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, a group with alleged ties to Hamas terrorists.
The United States suspended funding to UNRWA after 12 of its members were accused of participating in the Oct. 7 terrorist attack in Israel.
Ella Emhoff posted a link to the UNRWA to her social media profile before removing it after the New York Post questioned the White House about it.

What Trump said is not nuanced. Neither is the (D) attitude toward Israel (the victim on Oct 7, don’t forget), as the days, weeks and months since the dastardly deeds of those barbarians, cause those events to wane in their horrific character. Schumer’s positions are not nuanced. They are direct hits against the only Jewish nation in the world.
So, yeah — it is beyond absurd to think that Jews in America could be so pro-palestinian when the palestinians are bent on the destruction of Jews.
Trump is right. Any Jew who would vote Democrat after the terrorist sympathizers came out of the wood work after Oct 7 is suicidal. Not to mention Schumer the tumor’s gambit is a transparent attempt to save Hamas for blatant, selfish domestic political reasons. Democrats have a long history of stabbing former friends in the back. Ask the Chinese, Cubans, Vietnamese, Iraqis and the Afghanis.
Democrats can nominate Hitler and 90% of Jews will still vote for them.
The incident is one of those occasions where I get the sentiment Trump was trying to express, but find his comment was unnecessary and may not help him move more Jews to the GOP. As has been the case every time I've walked past since last October there have been moslem sympathizers with signs that cry “genocide”...etc,etc. When I walk past I always make it a point to shout “hey,they found rockets in the basement of yet another hospital”. One wonders what the Jewish students at BU (IIRC they represent a good percentage of the student body) think about these bleeps.
