On Friday’s edition of NBC’s “MTP Now,” Biden Senior Advisor and Assistant and Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs Tom Perez responded to critics who say the Biden administration’s policies are too pro-Israel by saying that the White House hears “the concerns of our friends in Michigan, in Illinois, and across the country. And that’s why the President has called for a six-week ceasefire.”
Host Kristen Welker asked, “What do you say, though, to these leaders and to these communities who say not enough is being done, that they want to see a permanent ceasefire — and I know that there are negotiations ongoing as we speak about trying to broker a potential temporary ceasefire — but they also say that the United States shouldn’t be supplying more arms or more aid to Israel unless it’s conditioned on a guarantee that Israel will do more to protect civilian lives?”

Just to pick a nit, Kokura was the next target, but cloud cover meant that Nagasaki was hit instead. Kyoto was on a target list, but Sec’y of War Stimson asked for it to be removed because of its cultural significance.
Why single out Michigan? Well Michigan happens to have a large percentage of muslims and is a battleground state.
So the Biden WH panders to muslims in MI whose Hamas pals slaughter Israel and then the WH doesn't want Israel to be to defeat Hamas and defend itself? All in the name of cheesy electoral politics.
A Franklin Delano Biden would have asked for a ceasefire after Pearl Harbor during the Pacific theatre.

My guess is that most of them are dead. Even if some of them are still alive, Hamas will never release them because the hostages will go on TV and they will divulge the details of Hamas' crimes against them. So that's a no-go, unfortunately.
Bibi knows that so he's right to write them off. But the Israeli population won't let him do that. And the Americans.
