The leader of a church in Hartford, Connecticut, has pushed for the formation of an armed citizen patrol to supervise the streets.

Archbishop Dexter Burke demanded armed citizen patrols after Garden Street experienced a spate of gun-related crimes, including a double homicide near his church in February.

Cornell Lewis, a local activist, spearheaded the effort and launched 'Minister Cornell Lewis' Self-Defense Brigade. '

Archbishop Burke's solution to local violence has drawn criticism from Hartford's mayor, Arunan Arulampalam.

the same applies to Houston but for opposite reasons. It is spread out and parts are really dangerous and parts safe. You have to look by neighborhood.

If you are referring to Jacksonville in Florida, that is about 800+ square miles in area, per wikipedia. There are two other “Jacksonvilles” in New England and they are small.
FYI

In the olden days church goers were required to bring their “firelocks” to church and drill after services.

My remarks are only intended for those who fit the description and not a universal condemnation! I have an Indian gastroenterologist, Indian retina specialist, Egyptian dentist, Japanese ENT, Pakistani primary, Croatian cardiologist, and Croatian pulmonologist. The best..love them all..superb Americans!😀

“I have an Indian gastroenterologist, Indian retina specialist, Egyptian dentist....”

I don’t think the armed patrols are for gastroenterologists, dentists, cardiologists, etc who are almost certainly legal aliens or citizens.

The problem (restated) is that there is little to no political distinction made anymore between legal and illegal aliens. Current policies effectively attract and subsidize lawbreakers and interlopers which people must now defend themselves against.
