A North Carolina college junior is heading for the general election after defeating a 10-term incumbent state representative.

Wyatt Gable, 21, joined “FOX & Friends” on Thursday after beating 81-year-old incumbent state Rep. George Cleveland in North Carolina’s Super Tuesday election by 95 votes. Cleveland has represented the district for two decades.

When asked how he won, Gable said it was “just a lot of hard work.”

“A lot of doors knocked, a lot of phone calls made, and just a lot of people that were helping me out, and I really appreciate it,” he said.

Gable said he is “very confident” about winning the seat in November, given that the 14th District is a typically red district.

81? That’s as old as Biden. Fish. Golf. Play with great grandchildren. Scream at people in your yard. Ride off into the sunset. Good grief.

We really, really, really need term limits in this country.

Stop it. That is not a magic bullet. It will create as many problems as it solves.

Is it a perfect solution? No. But it will greatly cut down on ancient out of touch fossils dying in office. It will also cut down on corruption due to less opportunity.

Or put another way - there is a reason a lot of private organizations and successful militaries have an ‘up or out’ policy.

My reasons are still the same.
Apparently, you think be a state rep is equivalent to being on the student council.

Do you live in the district? If not why do you care. If so vote against him.

Do you buy your panties pre-waded?

Don’t live there so you are right fundamentally its none of my business. Someone obviously posted it soliciting comment. I gave my comment that people should do something i,e. experience before entering politics. Doing something before politics is one of the reasons to be for Trump.

I answered you civilly in spite of your childish insult.

You weren’t civil in your hateful rants against the kid.

He’s trying to do what our system is designed for. Citizens participating.

IMO your comments were childish and condescending.

and will just get more corruption faster with limited time.

and lock a few good long term politicians.

look at the SYSTEM.

IT is not a magic bullet. At best it may be equal to the current system.

Passing more laws does not fix things. When will we learn.

Hardly hateful, just accurate!

Far better to go out and live a life learn from those life experiences. Bring those learned experience to one’s political life. If you don’t do that you end up in the fairyland knowledge of the politician where a carbon zero world makes sense. If you don’t you end up like the subject of this article.

But by all means encourage the young to be a professional politician. He might be the next McConnell who went almost from High School to the political big leagues.
