The five hatched a plan to steal a gold necklace worth more than $30,000 from Money Perkins, 37, inside his East Flatbush laundromat — but the thieves shot the business owner in the head when the plan went off the rails, ..
Perkins’ cousin Ronnie Butler, 46, was in a long-simmering feud with his cousin when he hatched the robbery plan alongside Louis Mercado, 48, who then recruited his 16-year-old gangbanger stepson and his Shoot on Sight buddies Shaleek Riddick, 19, and Diante Stinson, 20, ..
A graphic video obtained by The Post shows the moment Perkins was shot dead inside the establishment at Money P Clean on Clarendon Road

The horrific and senseless murder of Money Perkins, a loving father, husband, and hardworking entrepreneur, devastated not only his family but the entire community.”

When I was in Africa, there was no place to stash your wealth..........................so you wore it. The culture generally respected that and that kind of theft was rare and if done, there were consequences.
Let's get tough and start protecting our citizens!!

I wonder how much Mercado got when he sold the gold chain necklace? I have this vision of Mercado talking to Rick of Pawnstars and haggling....
Is East Flatbush a nice area? Seems like the name “Money Perkins” might invite unwelcome interest from those prone to robbing others....
I always wear my $30k necklace to the laundromat.
I’d like to know where Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and other supposed leaders of the black community are when things like this hit the news...which is almost every day. Al and Jesse are always getting face time on TV when blacks are on trial, but disappear when they are proven guilty (e.g., the Duke Five, Tawana Braley, etc.)
Blacks have a culture problem and blacks have to fix it. We’ve thrown billions of dollars at the problem and it’s worse now that ever before. Time for blacks to take a deep, introspective, look at their problems and own up to the fact that they are responsible, not whites.
This is not a racist post. It is simply reporting the facts, even if you do not like those facts.
Where do you live?....LOL!!!...that was my thought also.
Trillions.
Only in da hood do people wear a $30,000 necklace to the laundromat.
with a name like that in the ghetto, you're gonna be a target.
An old Puritan name, like Chastity, Humility, or Prudence would be a better idea.
This is just preserving equity while eliminating crime stats.
Who needs a $30,000 necklace, anyway. Didn't that person know that these equity beaters would only take it, for so long?
Yeah, the person killed will be determined have visually and monetarily attacked the attackers, and they only acted in appropriate self-defense.
More Eight Wing Propaganda
It was only last night Pedo-Joe explained to the world how much crime is down and how much safer America and Americans are since he was crowned.
Going by recent history of the last 60 years there will be no fix or for the wider culture. If anything the current trajectory is down and worse. We all hope things turn around but zero evidence showing up so far.
Additional surveillance and cellphone tracking also led investigators to the accused killers, ..
Authorities recovered a gun inside Mercado’s closet
No matter how many times I read this kind of report I am amazed a the utter stupidity of the people that commit these crimes.
Never, ever take a cell phone with you to commit a crime.
Cell phone update your Geolocation every few seconds (if it is turned on, which it is by default), Cell towers can also be used to track your general location.
Never take video of yourself committing a crime and by all means do not share your committing a crime to social media.
If you are committing a crime with associates, make sure that you all leave your cell phones at home so that the cellphone data can not be used to link you together.
And if you use a firearm in a murder never, ever take the firearm home. Dispose of it immediately. Don't sell it, pawn it or give it away. Throw it in a lake or a river, someplace that it would be hard to recover, hopefully a long way away from where the crime was committed.
But if these people were smart they would not be committing these crimes.
It baffles me none the less.
Haven’t been to a laundromat since my 20 year old whirlpool died 5 years ago. It was quickly replaced with a new whirlpool
Another thing that says "Stupid" is a guy that wears a $30K neckless to work at a place frequented by the lowest echelon of the society.
Nothing says 'come kill me and rob me' like wearing a 30K neckless to a place full of poor people with low morals.
Another thing that shouts stupid is a 48 year old that recruits a bunch of wet behind the ears kids (really a 16 year old?) to commit a big dollar job.
I just have to wonder who was the shooter in this. If someone is going to do something dumb it is going to be a teenager. But I doubt that they let him handle the gun.
And why did they need 5 guys for this? Was the business man a huge hulk? I would guess 3 guys tops for this job.
This should be a first degree murder charge for all concerned.
