After becoming the defacto 2024 Republican nominee for president Tuesday night, former President Donald Trump is calling on President Joe Biden to debate "ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!"
"It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People. Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE! The Debates can be run by the Corrupt DNC, or their Subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to receiving a response. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday afternoon.
The White House was asked about whether Biden will participate in a debate with Trump during the daily briefing. Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre punted back to the campaign while insisting Biden is capable.
"You literally saw at the last state of the union take on Republicans during a major speech. He [Biden] took them on as they were heckling him," she argued.
The Trump campaign is reiterating Trump's willingness to show up anytime, a play on highlighting Biden's deteriorating cognitive abilities.
I will give some examples:
Their agenda: “Climate change”
Our agenda: Crazy government regulations
Their agenda: J6 “insurrection” and “saving democracy”
Our agenda: Deep State agent provocateurs, domestic spying and targeting, and insane prosecutions of innocent patriotic Americans on phony baloney J6 charges
Their agenda: Fair treatment of “migrants”
Our agenda: Deport the illegal invaders
etc etc etc
The words are the debate.
I do not care if that dude from MSNBC moderates. Biden could NOT hold up onstage during a debate. Do not let him run from his basement again. Call him out as a coward continually until he agrees to debate. Then point out how everything he’s done has been an abysmal failure. Trump barely needs to talk about what he did or will do. Trump’s record speaks for itself. Instead, Trump should bore in on “you failed at this, you failed at that, you failed at that….etc” would be how I’d play it.
Remember how Trump invited Bill Clinton’s sexual harassment accusers to rattle Hillary’s cage back in 2016 debates?
This year Trump should invite a Girl Scout troop.
This might be a bit somber—but President Trump could invite family members of people murdered by illegal invaders.
Might the Dems use this against the notion of a debate? One suspects so, however one would love to be surprised.

Craziness. He got boned in two of the debates with Biden in 2020. Especially the second debate.
Pass on the debates. It’s a no-win scenario, because it will be exceedingly difficult to find neutral moderators.
Are you referring to 4 years ago? First, I’m sure Biden had an ear pod of some type.
Next, I think an ear pod would confuse him terribly this time. He’s too confused in general. Two other things to keep it fair is to not permit Biden to see the questions. Also, as you said .. a neutral moderator. I’ll never forget the debate when Candy Crowley moderated the Romney/Obama debate. It was infuriating.
My additional problem with the debates is that President Trump’s agenda/position is that the election was stolen so Biden should not even be the President.
Why debate someone who stole the office to begin with?
Merely having the debate is giving Biden undeserved legitimacy and respect.
The local far left local media is saying debates don't always happen as "President Richard Nixon did not agree to a debate"
In other words, if conservative Nixon did not feel one was necessary, why should Brandon?
Add to that how surreal it would be.
There’s no way they shake hands. Biden considers President Trump an insurrection. Trump believes Biden stole the 2020 election.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden tells Trump to “shut the hell up” and generally is a %£+!# like he was with Paul Ryan. It’s just how Biden gets when he is challenged by anyone.
What’s next - they start to slap-hit each other?
Battle of the mush mouths.
As an experienced speaker, he should be able to bat down the worst of the biased moderators.
He had trouble in the 2020 debates doing that.

If Biden refuses, Trump should just show up at one of his events (few though they may be) and challenge him to debate on the spot.
It is interesting that those of us who admire President Trump best understand his weaknesses.
He has trouble staying on message.
I used to work on campaigns and that was a big issue with a lot of candidates—they could get easily off topic by questions or topics that distracted or detracted from our message.
It is not that we were trying to keep the candidate from being genuine—we just want them genuinely on their message—strongly and consistently without getting sidetracked.
That is always a problem with debates.

Do not let Biden run from his basement. Absolutely do not. Biden controls the narrative via the media if he runs from his basement. He is a puppet. You gotta get a puppet onstage and away from his handlers whenever possible. Doesn’t matter who moderates or how unfair. “Biden failed, Biden failed, Biden failed” should be the script. Goad him into going off script. Do not talk about stolen elections, people in your own party, abortion, or whatever. Talk about how absolutely awful Biden has been. Biden cannot put up a coherent argument if you get him off script.
Talk about crime, immigration, drug addiction, urban decay, inflation, gasoline prices, war, public education collapse. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail.
