Nathan Wade had garage door opener to his and Fani Willis’ love nest, relationship started in 2019: court docs

A new witness says she could testify that Fani Willis’ relationship with Nathan Wade dates back to 2019 — and that he even had a garage door opener for their alleged love nest, according to a new court filing.

Willis and Wade “definitely” had a romantic relationship during the time Willis was running for DA in 2019 through 2020, Wade’s loose-lipped former business partner and one-time attorney Terrence Bradley spilled to lawyer Manny Arora.

Bradley, who clammed up on the stand when questioned last week, let slip the confirmation of the affair during “several conversations” with Arora, a former law professor, between September and October last year, according to court documents filed in Georgia.

Wade apparently even had a garage door opener for the apartment where he and Willis would meet for their secret trysts, Bradley told Arora.

The apartment belonged to former DA employee Robin Yeartie, a longtime friend of Willis’ who testified last month that she saw the couple kissing and hugging in 2019.

Willis is fighting to keep hold of her position as district attorney of Fulton County, facing scrutiny over her relationship with Wade, whom she appointed special prosecutor to help in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump and 18 others.

Trump and his remaining 14 co-defendants are seeking to have Willis thrown off the case, saying her relationship with Wade created a conflict of interest.

At hearings about their relationship, both Willis and Wade testified under oath that they weren’t romantic until 2022, which lawyers for Trump and his co-defendants, including Michael Roman and Cathy Latham, have said is not the case and that they were together since 2019.

her relationship with Wade created a conflict of interest

That is putting it mildly. She hired her lover as outside counsel, using taxpayer funds far in excess of what she earned, allegedly so he would lavish her with the proceeds. If there was no case against Trump et al, there would be no excuse to funnel taxpayer funds to her lover and no financial benefit to her.

This point gets lost in all the titillating lover tryst details. One could and should argue that she concocted the prosecution for the purposes of embezzling funds. Whether she did or not, the appearance that she did is enough to warrant the case being moved out of her office or dismissed entirely.

It is a key to her home, just an electronic one that opens a bigger door.

I think you missed the point - instead of admitting to a sexual relationship, he just could claim that she occasionally let him “park in her garage.”

Is it possible that he had it to be able to deny having a key to her home?

That’s possible. He was there to play “pick the lock” after all.

willis’ prior residence is easy enough to locate in south greater atlanta.

from easily found photos, the apartment complex does not seem to have a garage. however, the complex seems to be surrounded by an open flat parking lot, whose main entrance and exit seem to be controlled by barrier gates. it is logical to presume that the barrier gates are electrically operated by RFID devices which are distributed to the apartment complex renters.

the apartment has two bedroom units. these units imply that there would be two RFID devices issued per two bedroom unit. if wade was not able to drive into the parking lot, things would be more awkward for him. he would appear to need to park on a busy highway and walk a significant distance to the apartment complex (risking being noticed by neighbors and passers-by).

it’s to the advantage of wade and willis to keep the relationship on the down low. to do that, wade’s entries and exits ideally would involve minimal outdoor walking. therefore, willis could have given wade one of the two RFID devices to willis for use during nocturnal visits. this would allow wade to drive right up next to willis’ unit and park. with luck, the front door would be a few feet away from his parking space.

They're done!

If not, this justice system is. Just about there anyway. Across the U.S., DA's offices are loaded with dirty Fani types. Good luck if your forced to be subjected to that.

It might be, if it were her home to begin with. The home belonged to one of her employees and the owner probably gave her just one key and the garage door opener. So, she gave him the garage door opener so he could park his car in the garage so it wouldn't be visible to the rest of the world. When you are cheating on your wife, you don't' want anyone seeing your car parked at some other woman's living quarters.

NOT necessarily.

Easy to get additional garage door openers.

I forgot the Love Shack by B52s was set in Georgia.

I’m headin’ down the Atlanta highway,
Lookin’ for the love getaway
Heading for the love getaway, love getaway,

Hop in my Chrysler,
It’s as big as a whale
And it’s about to set sail!
I got me a car, it seats about twenty
So c’mon and bring your jukebox money.

The Love Shack is a little old place
Where we can get together
Love Shack baby! Love Shack bay-bee!
(Love Shack... Love Shack...)
Love Shack, that’s where it’s at!

A comedian said the 1980s big cars were so huge that if a small plane has to make an emergency landing they could set down on the roof of one.

The Judge indicated that it would take a couple of weeks to decide this case, but he also indicated that he was open to any late submitted filings should new evidence arise, and It has.

Big Fanny is a black woman who somehow got a law degree and somehow passed the bar exam and then, smartly, she went to work in an all black county (i.e. Fulton).

She has a Triple PHD in how to play the “Race Card” and that is what is going on for the next 2 weeks. Meaning, behind the scenes she’s working overtime trying to save her job because she knows, rightly so, she has a minimum 50-50 chance of doing so. In a southern county run by white folks, a white male or woman would have been summarily fired months ago when this story first broke.

I seem to recall one of the defense asking about a garage door opener. Probably asking Bradley.
