The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling on governments to ban the general public from growing their own food at home by arguing that they are causing “climate change.”
According to so-called “experts” behind a recent WEF study, researchers apparently discovered that the “carbon footprint” of home-grown food is “destroying the planet.”
As a result, the WEF and other globalist climate zealots are now demanding that governments intervene and ban individuals from growing their own food in order to “save the planet” from “global warming.”
The research indicated that resorting to garden-to-table produce causes a far greater carbon footprint than conventional agricultural practices, such as rural farms.
This research, conducted by WEF-funded scientists at the University of Michigan, was published in the journal Nature Cities.
The study looked at different types of urban farms to see how much carbon dioxide (CO2) was produced when growing food.
On average, a serving of food made from traditional farms creates 0.07 kilogram (kg) of CO2, according to the study.
However, the WEF-funded researchers claim that the impact on the environment is almost five times higher at 0.34kg per portion for individual city gardens.

You vill eat ze boogs, and maybe starve to death!
” The WEF is almost, and I mean almost, making me ready to to cheer on Russia and it’s hardliners. If the WEF wants us starving serfs, I would love to see them go up in a Russian grown mushroom. “
The Regime is intending an engineered famine to cause depopulation.
Whatever their sins, the current Regimes in Russia and China do not do this to their own people en masse.
The Zeepers on here will be arrested and executed for “unauthorized gardening”, while still moaning that Putin is the real enemy.
This sounds contrary to their usual positions, which claim that large-scale farming relies on harmful chemical fertilizers and requires significant transportation and packaging efforts to deliver them to markets. How could growing your own vegetables be more harmful to the environment than that?
The WEF wants to ban farming, that’s why farmers are spraying manure of government buildings in Europe.
But growing your own food is worse, so that has to go also.
You might ask “what will we eat?”
And that’s the entire point.
Don’t worry, Obama will still be able to get his organic arugula.
....“carbon footprint”.....
Mary had a little lamb, his fleece was black as soot;
Everywhere that Mary went, his sooty foot he put!!
Four big guys in suits with earpieces and wearing sunglasses:
You have been found to have been growing unauthorized potatoes, carrots and green onions. This is a violation and you are now under arrest. Your garden will be burned with a flamethrower and turned over with a backhoe.
Reminds me of something I read in the early 1960s about Cuba in which their new commie masters were urging the people to grow flowers and ornamentals and not food crops. This was to keep the people dependent on the government for food.
It also reminds me of the 1930s when the democrats under FDR bought up millions of head of cattle and hogs, shot and buried them, destroyed row crops, all to get the price up. This was a time when money was scarce and many people could not afford to buy food.
The WEF needs to look up the French 1789 revolution and recalibrate its mouth before it’s too late for them.
If they start messing with golf courses, that might get folks attention

F#CK’EM!
I live on my own farm and grow or raise my own food, that’s what I’ll be eating from now on!
So; F#CK’EM!
I certainly will.
You gotta be kidding
I wouldn’t advise that; they are all very POISONOUS, all breeds of them!
After they have banned home growing, while simultaneously driving big food growing out of business, they would be among the hordes of worthless hungry ghouls out in the countryside foraging for anything to ravage away from the growers.
I say ‘would be’ because they won’t even make it out of the cities. Dead right there in their self-created food deserts.
I saw someone who analyzed exactly how they calculated this. They count all the carbon used to build and then tear down your house! YES! They actually did this!
They also factored in raised garden beds a greenhouse etc etc.
You have to use laughably dishonest cheats like this to claim someone planting some seeds in their backyard garden produces a bunch of carbon. I mean clearly without that backyard garden, that house would never be built.......
Molon Labe, bitchez!
That’s right.
