Trump moves to keep Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen from testifying in DA Bragg case

Former President Donald Trump's legal team has sought to block testimony from porn star Stormy Daniels and his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, as part of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's case against him.

Bragg charged Trump in March of last year over a 2016 payment Cohen made to Daniels, alleging conspiracy and that he falsified records. Trump denies wrongdoing and contends the case is part of an ongoing political witch hunt against him. The trial is slated for March 25.

"Michael Cohen is a liar," Trump's legal team wrote, in reference to his testimony on New York Attorney General Letitia James's civil fraud trial against Trump.

"He recently committed perjury, on the stand and under oath, at a civil trial involving President Trump," they claimed, according to The Hill. "If his public statements are any indication, he plans to do so again at this criminal trial. The Court should preclude Cohenโ€™s testimony in order to protect the integrity of this Court and the process of justice."

Soโ€ฆwhoโ€™s the plan B for Republican Presidential Nominee?
One of these cases are going to achieve the desired effect and end DJTs 2024 hopes.

No.

I don’t care if he is in jail.

I will still vote for him.

So you're fine with the bogus prosecutions and look at it as an opportunity to get your clown as the nominee?

Another completely manufactured case - creating crimes so you prosecute a specific individual. Bragg should be disbarred for this along with Leticia James for the other one in New York.

No they won’t and even if they did Trump can pardon himself.

I find your comment interesting as you basically hint that it is about creating as many fake trials as possible until you can find a corrupt enough court to get a conviction, no concern for the rule of law apparently.

I’ll vote for him regardless of any liberal outcomes.

The Willis hoax is being dismantled as we speak; Smith Hoax #1 will almost certainly be dismissed in Miami for a variety of good reasons; the James/Engoron attempted property theft is now appealed and will likely evaporate and the Bragg stupidity is even being derided by the Harvard Leftists who probably dreamed it up, since Bragg isn’t smart enough to do that on his own.

Leaving Smith with his deranged “election interference” case in DC (Smith Hoax #2), now delayed by the Rasta “judge” Chutkan’t.

The end result of all of this will be a judiciary in ashes.

If Trump would have acted like a married adult he would have one less bogus lawsuit to worry about.

Sometimes his is his own worst enemy.

You contradict yourself when you admit that this is a bogus lawsuit.

After the GOP convention, and when Mister Trump secures the nom, the zillions of $$s will focus on Mister Trump's earlier decisions. Stormy Daniels will be on the forefront. Expect 24/7 oppo ads with "hush money" being prominent.

One of the reasons that I opposed Trump's nom is that he can't compete with his past decisions. Low info voters aren't swayed by the economy, our national defense or First and Second Amendment rights.

They are motivated by fear and emotion.

Fear? Climate change and MAGA

Emotion? Mister Trump's choices. Thanks, you fool, Mister Trump. Yes, I'll vote for Trump in the general. He'll come in second, and its HIS DOING!

How many peeps of his own party can he insult and expect support?

Some, but he needs them all, and it's human nature.

Sorry to be the bearer of icky news, I want the GOPer to win, whomever the candidate.

Trump chooses to lose, and Story will see to that.

If you want to insult me for telling the truth, go ahead, I can take it. Just remember that I'm voting for him, but he can't (as in absolutely cannot) win in the general. And it's on Trump.

Why wouldn’t the left just do the same thing to the next republican if it ends up working on Trump?

How do you know he didn't, oh omniscient holier-than-thou judgmental one?

Because Fake News told you so?

You sleazily didn’t answer my question.

I will repeat it:

Do you consider the bogus cases brought against Trump to be legitimate?

Would he be undergoing prosecutorial misconduct were he not running for President again.

If you can’t answer the questions just go crawl back under your rock.

Um no. He made this one too easy for them.

I'm sorry but I am not into the cult of personality that Trump has built up.

If he is as smart as he claims he should know that people are setting traps for him all over the place, but instead he has a habit of wasting valuable time putting out many fires of his own making, even if they unfair or outright criminal.

The fraud case, obviously outrageous., as is Jan 6th and the GA case.

But this one, he didn't break the law, but paying off a woman you had an affair with is unseemly and foolish for someone of his age and supposed wisdom.

Yeah, I get he is the best shot we have, but he is wasting time and energy on something that wouldn't have happened if he had his libido in check.
