Is the blue state exodus from California, New York, and Illinois making red states like Florida, Texas, and South Carolina more liberal? Studies suggest the answer is no.
South Carolina is one of the beneficiaries of a blue state exodus. But contrary to popular theory, South Carolina Is Still Ruby Red.
Fed up with pandemic restrictions, Sandy Zal uprooted her family from Schenectady, N.Y., three years ago and moved here because of its Republican tilt. She and her husband named their new company Freedom Window Tinting, a nod to South Carolina’s ethos.
The Zals are part of a migration wave that has kept South Carolina ruby red despite an influx of newcomers from blue states. A Wall Street Journal analysis of census data found that a third of the state’s new residents between 2017 and 2021 hailed from blue states and a quarter from red ones, according to census data. The remainder came from closely divided states, including nearby Georgia and North Carolina, or are immigrants.
The Palmetto State is a prime example of why a yearslong wave of migration to the South has largely failed to change its partisan tint. In Florida, for instance, 48% of people who moved there between 2017 and 2021 came from blue states while 29% came from red states, Census figures show. Among those who registered to vote, 44% are Republicans, 25% are Democrats and 28% are nonpartisan, according to L2 data. Texas also has a heavier flow of newcomers from blue states but a greater share who L2 data estimates are Republican.

You have a point. The left will not be satisfied that conservatives abandoned their state and left them to bask in their progressive utopia. Oh no. They will then have to pick one state after another to first turn purple and then blue as they target each and every state that promotes freedom. It is much like they did when they took over California. Everyone at first thought that the progressives had their spot and would remain in that state. But, they then spread out to Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, and now Arizona.
The same goes for northeastern states. They blob is spreading southward and westward from DC and NY, and eastward from California, Oregon, and Washington.
It looks like this Chicago Democrat voter is infinitely smarter than some Freepers!
Note the coast is blue. That's where the rich NY, NJ and Mass elite leftists are moving. They have million dollar homes with long boardwalks along the sea marshes, living just like back home but with less noise, traffic and crime. They sure like their Haley.
Upstate you have migrants from the North, too, but they can't afford multi-million dollar beach homes, and just want to be left alone. NOT liberals. I fear for the state nevertheless.
I run short term vacation rental properties here in South Carolina . Ive had a slew of New Yorkers stay with me looking to escape the Covid tyranny and the general northern insanity. I can attest to this trend ( however anecdotally.) I think it comes down to the fact the snooty North Eastern liberals think SC is beneath them.
I fled deep blue Ct 11 years ago to paradise in SC. After the honeymoon delirium ended, I have come to realize that SC is not as red as it should be. Upper class snobs in Charleston join the money grubbing RINOs in Columbia to sell MAGA out every chance they get. Beneath the sunny, Jesus loving, southern charm facade that SC natives project lies a dark, greedy, murderous bless your heart.
It disgusts me that these ahole liberal locusts are allowed to flee their self-made blue s-holes and move to red states which they immediately start to ruin.

In the past twenty years I have lived in two areas that were unknows to Californicators and then suddenly, it is like a dam burst. They invaded with a vengeance. And especially silicon valley types buying up everything cash, site unseen. I have NOT ONCE meta single one who said they will change their voting habits. It starts with them having plenty of time to lobby the city council and county boards. Next thing you know, “We need more bike lanes” in a place where there is snow on the ground 6 months a year and NO ONE local rides a bike (except the kids playing). Next up... Roundabouts. What the hell is it with libearls and their love of roundabouts? AND of course we need city funded art installations, right? Bext thing you know the liberal mayor, of a former lumber town, is hanging fag flags next to the Stars and Stripes. Keep them out. They are locusts.
Everyone on the dole, the students who don’t repay their loans, the minority, female or gender-bender who gets a job when the White guy is discriminated againist under AA. Then you have ones who get free abortions.

Same problem here in my rural county. They buy every large track of farmland and price the young local farmers out of the market. Since they have sold their former house in California or NY for four times what they paid for it, they now have plenty of cash.
Therefore, they can pay cash and offer way above the usual price per acre. They further pushes up land values and the sales comps for the next property to go on the market as it’s price is raised to the same level.
THEN, they start appearing at local commissioner’s meetings complaining about the local businesses, the tractors on the roads, the farm smells, etc.
Woe is us. [Wring hands. Give up.]
