Half of promised Western military support to Ukraine fails to arrive on time, complicating the task of military planners and ultimately costing the lives of soldiers, the country's defense minister said Sunday.
Speaking at the “Ukraine. Year 2024” forum in Kyiv, Rustan Umerov said that each delayed aid shipment meant Ukrainian troop losses, and underscored Russia’s superior military might.
Commemorations to mark the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Saturday brought expressions of continued support, new bilateral security agreements and fresh aid commitments from Ukraine’s Western allies. But Umerov said they still needed to deliver on their commitments if Ukraine is to have any chance of holding out against Russia.

Russia has had over 140,000 troop skilled so far
that’s more than 7X what Russia lost in the Chechnyan and afghanistan Wars combined, and they took 15 years!
Putin has lost all this in just 2 years!!
**EPIC FAIL**
Tell the Defense Minister to raise a White Flag, and surrender to the Russians. Tell the Defense Minister to lay down his arms, and the fighting will stop.
Tell Putin to bring his army home.

I thought Germany and France signed some kind of support-pact with them. Everything should be good to go, right? It’s a direct over-land connection and all that. We’re half a world and an ocean away. Largess gets lost in transit and all that...
The consequences lie at the feet of the war hungry Neocons who prolonged and intensified this conflict for their ends & their greater glory.
Its our fault for not instantly giving Ukraine everything they demand. /sarc
The consequences lie at the feet of Vladimir Putin and no one else. He started this war and he could end it by taking his troops home.
The best defense of Ukraine is cheap oil, something that Biden has ruined.
I’m guessing that my gift of just $19 a month will solve the problem...?
I think that’s half the point of funding the war.
We promised Russia that NATO would not expand into Ukraine. That was a lie.

Well, sure it does. And if the aid arrived on time, it would complicate the task of military planners and cost the lives of soldiers.
Ukraine, corrupt for decades if not centuries, is deep in the throes of a proxy war. War is hell. Proxy war is hell at the mercy of the paymaster you have subjected yourself unto.
The Victoria Nuland State will be called to judgment someday. I would not want to be in their shoes.
It’s not that simple, and you damn well know it.
Our leaders blame us so why shouldn’t theirs?
Mediazona, which is the same people as Pussy Riot and very much anti-Putin, has an ongoing project with the also anti-Russian BBC to verify Russian casualties based on obituaries and social media postings and such. Their estimate of Russian deaths is much lower than the 150,000 you put forth. I don’t know the real number nor does anyone outside of the Russian government so think it is worth considering all sources.
It is that simple and only the dimmest bulbs among us can’t see it. Putin and Russian chauvinists of his ilk think Ukraine is part of Russia and Ukrainians are just “bad” Russians. Putin has always been willing to mass murder to achieve his political goals. Here we are two years later and hundreds of dead in Ukraine due to his genocidal Nazi tactics. Nothing more complicated than that.
Yawn, ... you can tell that to The Last Ukrainian Alive, quite soon, now.
“It’s not that simple, and you damn well know it.”
At this point, they have nothing better to do here other than FLAT-OUT LIE about the cause of this war.
