Monday poll found former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley losing to President Joe Biden in the red state of Texas, but indicated former President Donald Trump would handily win.

It looks to me like Haley is down to 9 points not down by 9 points.
If Haley were only behind Trump by 9 points I’d say she is doing much better than I expected.
If Haley has only 9% support to Trump’s by 80% then I’d say she is doing much worse than I expected.

My best guess is no way.
However by delaying their nom, they can pretend to be surprised and put in someone who reluctantly (ha ha) agrees, with very little chance for the voters to learn about or hear from the person (my wager would be Moochelle, but who knows?)

Thanks, I kept seeing it as Haley vs Trump instead of Haley vs Biden (as written). I guess I’m getting too old.
I’m not really surprised. My friends in Texas tell me it’s only a matter of a few years and Texas will be blue. How sad we are.
She is simply a placeholder.
From the DS point of view, after they remove Trump from the ballot they still need an election to go forward to give the illusion of democracy and voter consent.

They did it to California they can do it to any state.
If she were the nominee she would get ZERO electoral votes from ANY state in the south, the reddest region of the country.
