That was not fun. Went to the mailbox...gusts after gusts after gusts. The flag on my porch is flying straight out! My garbage can was all the way across the driveway. I got it, put it in front of the garage door. By the time I got in, downstairs, and got the garage door open, it had blown to the far side of the driveway again. Thankfully the fence stopped it from going farther. LOL!

Never forget, the Corrupt, Malevolent Political Cabal aka Elitists destroying us today was also responsible for the death & maiming that was the Vietnam War!

“The emptiness and sadness in the eyes and on the faces of these young men broke my heart and I cried. Thank you to all who sacrificed their lives.”

“I miss my dad a VietNam vet who died in 2016 due to complication and cancer from agent orange. I miss my uncle that I never met who died in Vietnam when he was 19 along side his war dog Kurt. May they all rest and peace I hope they have been released.”

“Read a lot of comments and started to cry. Guess I still have a lot of issues, memories back then .I miss you brothers and sisters. And now we are in another war just as long and longer that we should never have been in. I consider the ones that fought in these wars my brothers.”

Howdy, luvie.

That image is absolutely adorable!!

Were you able to open the windows and doors today or did you break down and turn on the A/C? :-)

Pretty nice here. Sunny, breezy, and 68 degrees when I went out this afternoon. Still pretty nice out there though the wind has cranked up. Just came in from cleaning out the two flower beds in front of the old house so the irises that are coming up can get some sun.

I figured it was a rough couple of days. I hope they’re hunting HARD for a new hire to take a little of the load off. Early bedtime in store tonight?

Holy cow!! Where did that big storm system come from? I haven’t checked the radar since early this afternoon.
At least you aren’t going to get as much snow as Wasilla but any snow is unwelcome.

The wind finally cranked up at Lake Hood. That big spruce is really dancing now.

Dang!! That doesn’t sound fun at all. It’s windy here but nothing like what you’re dealing with. I hope there aren’t any large, dead limbs in your trees.

Hey there, radu!

It is a cute one, huh! I didn’t turn on the AC but it was warm enough to have the doors open, which I did. It’s going to be about 10 degrees cooler tomorrow, at 75. But in a couple of days, it’ll be back in the high 80s. I really hoped that it would be a gradual warmup, but oh well.

Nice that it was warm enough there for you to be out after dark cleaning out those flower beds. The irises will appreciate it. My irises have just about disappeared. They were old ones, too. Came from my aunt and hubby’s aunt. It’s just not to be I guess. I hope you enjoy yours. Is the wind bringing cooler weather or just the normal spring wind?

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

There was a family having a picnic at Wichita Ridge yesterday (No surprise, the weather was really nice out there) but, we did nonetheless enjoy ourselves, especially Gizmo.

It was nice out there as I mentioned earlier.

Gizmo rested up after the visit.

Ths rest of the pics:

How's everyone doing this morning?

Your 80s are a little more comfortable because the air’s dry. Nice to get the house aired out real well, wasn’t it?
I had the laundry room window cracked open a bit this afternoon but it was a little cool to open others too.

I totally neglected those two flower beds last year and they were covered with dead leaves from some flowers that have just about taken over the beds. Lots of tree leaves too. That mess needed to be cleaned out because the iris leaves were completely covered over. I was in the mood to do it tonight and with it being so nice out there, I got it done. More work is needed but I need to do that during the day. The leaves are exposed now and that’s what counts. Those irises were sent to me by Dad and they hold a special place in my heart.

The wind is ahead of a cold front that will come through tomorrow night. It’s not a strong front and the temps will only drop back into the 50s for a couple of days, which is where they should be. It’ll warm back up again next week.

Yikes! The window must be really moving to make that big stained glass piece rattle.

Good evening/morning, Mooch....hope you are still experiencing a snowless winter.

High winds, high temps, and lots of melting (which is good for my roof), and then headed back to zero.
