Here’s How The Media Are Lying Right Now: NYT Editor Blames Swing Voters Who ‘Don’t Know Or Remember’ Trump
The Federalist ^ | 2/20/24 | EDDIE SCARRY

New York Times headline, Feb. 20: “A Big Opportunity to Define Trump as Unacceptable.”

The short item by Times Deputy Opinion Editor Patrick Healy follows up on an unintentionally hilarious focus group session the paper conducted last week, wherein 11 out of 13 voters who supported Joe Biden in 2020 say they now support Trump. Among the switching voters was a man who said he would support Trump even though he believed him to have committed “sexual abuse” and two others who said criminal convictions in any of the charges against him would not change their minds.

Healy: “But I was less surprised by the big vote for Trump than by this: The group didn’t blame Trump for things he was responsible or accountable for.”

There are, in fact, plenty of things Trump is responsible for — his failure to secure the U.S. southern border and his regretful decision to awkwardly hold up a Bible in the middle of a riot, to name two — but that’s not where the author went.

“For instance, several people linked their economic troubles to Covid, but they didn’t put any blame on Trump for that,” Healy wrote. “Some were upset with the end of abortion rights nationally, but they didn’t tie that to Trump’s Supreme Court appointments. Several wanted bipartisanship, but they didn’t blame Trump for his hand in sinking the recent bipartisan border deal. One person, a Latina, blamed Trump for worsening racism in the country and recounted a searing incident that happened to her — but she was among the 11 who would vote for him anyway.”

How can voters forget Trump when they are reminded each and every day how terrible he is.

These people are just lazy. Reality inevitably erodes the effectiveness of old propaganda. So, people are starting to forget how mean those mean Tweets were, or how darkly dark Orange Man was? They need to get off their can and manipulate the public just as they did last time.

The media says that Trump just wants attention but they will report on little else.

They have resorted to screaming at the voters, “Why want you believe us anymore?!!”

‘Don’t Know Or Remember’

Translation: “Who didn’t fall for our propaganda.”

I have always been annoyed at the complaint about Trump holding a Bible in front of the President’s church. I think that was an important positive event.

I think that day should be marked as a specific violent insurrection against the Presidency.

DC Black Lives Matter leader called for his violent removal. Violence as done at the White House and dozens of secret service agents were injured. The president was moved to the basement to protect him from the insurrection.

That is an actual insurrection compared to January 6.

They are against Trump. What are they for: Debt, inflation, illegal immigration which destroys the cities, crime, drugs, etc.?

The big picture issue is that the mass media has viciously attacked President Trump for years—accusing him of every heinous crime it is possible for a human to commit.

What happens when you do that is that people stop believing the narrative—because if only one of the charges is not true then the mass media cannot be trusted.

What average folks know is what has happened in their lives.

They go to the grocery store or the local fast food restaurant and see crazy high prices—oops, Biden did that.

They get their car broken into because criminals are not punished—the local Democrats did that.

Tampons are now in the school boy’s bathrooms—the local Democrats did that.

They got censored for something or other on Facebook or Twitter or some other site—leftists did that.

They can’t speak their mind in the workplace for fear of offending someone and getting fired—leftists did that.

It turns out that all the stuff that drives them crazy has nothing to do with Donald Trump.

“The group didn’t blame Trump for things he was responsible or accountable for.”

You mean like a strong economy, record ow illegal alien crossings, and having the blacks, Hispanics and women be better off economically than in the past? Looks like the Deep State and their partners the Lame Street Media, Social Media and American billionaires are starting their effort to steal the 2024 election.

The “hate Trump” media has published millions of articles claiming all kinds of kooky stuff.

This person read one of them and believed it apparently.

I was sitting in a dentist’s office just before the 2016 election and there was a Newsweek magazine sitting there.

I opened it to a two page article on the upcoming election.

I counted over one hundred blatant lies about then candidate Trump—and that was before I got to the end of page one!

"See, it is not Biden with the memory problem. It is the voters", explained the NYTimes.

The problem for the NYT and Biden is that these voters remember all to well the Trump years. The Biden years are a total disaster, on every front, when compared to the Trump years and the voters are not being gaslighted by the NYT.

It's a repeat of Russia. Russia. Russia. Same as 2020.

The FBI informant received his information about Hunter from “Russia”. CNN

Trump is Putin. MsDNC

Same campaign and lies as last time. If the House doesn't support Ukraine, it's because of Russia!

NYT drivel right there.

Yes. The media was reporting that Trump was cowering in a bunker under the WH while surrounded by BLM insurrectionists. Police used tear gas to back up the crowd. Trump did a photo op at the burnt church to show that he had freedom of movement and was in control. Obama whined about gassing the rioters.
