Nolte: Kathy Hochul Fails to Reassure NY Businesses Trump Penalty ‘Nothing to Worry About’
Breitbart ^ | 19 Feb 2024 | JOHN NOLTE

Posted on 02/19/2024 8:19:43 AM PST by conservative98

Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) tried and failed to reassure businesses that they “have nothing to worry about” after a recent penalty ruling against former President Trump.

During an appearance on WABC 770 AM with The Cats Roundtable’s John Catsimatidis, Hochul was asked if New York businesses need to worry that if “they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.”

“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about,” Hochul replied, “because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.”

This after Trump did nothing wrong but was still fined $355 million and banned from conducting any business in the state of New York for three years.

This civil fraud case was a glaring act of political persecution brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, who could find no victim nor any malfeasance. The claim that Trump inflated the value of his property to get bank loans was absurd on its face. The lenders said Trump did nothing wrong. The loans were paid back with interest.

Make no mistake, this was not only election interference against the leading opposition leader; it was a warning to other New York businesses they had better not stray from the Democrat Party Plantation.

No one with any sense should do business in New York. In this state, the Rule of Law has been exterminated to attack opposition leaders like Trump over nothing more than political differences. Why would anyone remain in New York with that kind of threat constantly hanging over their head?

Hochul and the Democrats can get away with this BS because the GOP in NY is a clown show, just like the national GOP. Not a peep out of the NY GOP, they are truly worthless.

I guess the often-arrogant, leftists-loving New Yorkers deserve what they get. LOL!

It’s the very nature of communism. There can be no stability. There always has to be radical change to keep people off guard and off balance. The people always have to obediently follow every diktat and whim of the state.

Think back about chocolate rations, “How many fingers am I holding up, Winston,” and “We’ve always been at war with East Asia.”

Businessmen in NY should be just fine - as long as they reliably participate in the corrupt system.

They will have to pay bigly, but the rewards for top team-players can be great too.

One or two business owners may have to be sacrificed now and again but the odds of getting thrown overboard are not bad for those that know how to follow instructions.

Oh yes, it is all corrupt.

The dem pols may see this as a win/win. If the businesses stay in NY, they will be taxed into rubble and all the money goes into the coffers to be dispersed as the pols see fit, with accompanying graft. If the businesses leave, the jungle takes over and the property values dive, so prime real estate can be bought for nothing. Then, when the time is deemed right, order and sanity is restored and all the prime property is now in the hands of those it should have belonged to in the first place, The High And Mighty!

The boards of the financial institutions in New York City know that they're going to see massive downward revaluations of properties in the city.

The financial institutions boards and property owners are now forced to undervalue properties because the court in New York City has declared itself the ultimate arbiter of price, which they have no business doing.

New York City will also see thousands upon thousands of reassessments of taxes based upon the lower valuations.

Trump most likely wants to get to November and win before he goes into full defiance mode but this situation with a purely political persecutive prosecution would or must be go to hell time for anyone else.

You are free to do business in NY as long as you're not MAGA.

Just like you are free to protest (and burn and loot) if you are BLM or antifa, but not if you are MAGA.

“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about,” Hochul replied, “because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.”

An American Communist (Democrat) lawyer in black robes declared Trump was guilty of victimless fraud, and fined him $353 million dollars.

With no victim who gets the money?

Is this the new way for Democrats to raise funds? You just have to pick out a billionaire and confiscate his property, claiming that he committed fraud. Is that why Kathy Hochul (American Communist governor of NY) announced that Democrat businessmen need not worry?

Since there was no victim, who gets the $353 million dollars? How much does Engoron get? How much does James get? How much goes to the DNC? What is supposed to happen to the money? What really happens to the money?

Are American Communists are using the Stalinist approach?

Give me the man and I will find the crime.

It is not who votes, but who counts the votes.

Hochul trying to “reassure” NY real estate investors Trump is just a “ special case” is really bad.

The whole point of the law are that there are no politically targeted people who the government makes a special case for

That is against the law.

And what happens when next person the government attacks to make a special case of

If they can do it to Trump today because of his politics, what prevents them from doing it to someone tomorrow just because they covet his property?
