Letitia James: ‘Everyone Must Play by the Same Rules’; No Precedent for Trump Case
Breitbart ^ | 02/16/2024 | Joel B Pollack

New York Attorney General Letitia James welcomed Judge Arthur Engoron’s staggering $354 million fine against Donald Trump on Friday by declaring at a news conference: “Everyone must play by the same rules.”

But a review of 70 years of legal history by the Associated Press showed no precedent whatsoever for suing an entrepreneur or business for allegedly inflating real estate values when there was no victim that suffered any damage.

Yup, watching that arrogant, smug POS posturing nearly made me lose my cookies, too.
NO money lost.
Banks eager to work with DJT, still.
Nothing.
But still $380M penalty? And, she claims it’s already at $400M due to accrued interest? Really? They charge interest from the date of the original finding, despite having (until today) NO IDEA what would be the ‘penalty’?
Seems pretty crazy to me.

Anybody else think that Trump should purchase the homes next-door to & across-the-street from Judge Engoron & Letitia James & lease them out to a corrupt non-profit to house criminal migrants?

If you’re a developer you’d have to be crazy to do business in NY after this ruling, even if you’re not particularly political. Did you ever register as a Republican or donate to a Republican candidate? Well guess what, it’s open season on you now.

Boycott anything that has to do with NYC...
_________
Not hard to do....I have so many things on my boycott list I am into multiple rounds of boycott. For example DC is on my boycott list and after the Mark Steyn court decision they got added again. Now in the unlikely chance DC does something I agree with they are still boycotted.....and will be until all the boycott incidents are canceled.

We are about at the point where these lawless monsters be openly defied. We are entering second amendment territory. These are no longer legitimate courts. Once the legitimacy of the courts goes down and anybody that the powers that be want to throw into jail can be done so…it’s over….and it’s on….

Heck I was told by a NYS Trooper that all you need to establish residency is an Amazon delivery address. Squatters have complete homeowner rights here. I think I will lay claim to the Governor’s mansion.

By saying everyone must play by the same rules really meant playing by the “same rules that she likes”.

Ok,then anyone in NY who ever ever had a mortgage needs to understand that this could be them. If the state needs some extra cash for, say, migrant benefits, I would suggest a bounty system be set up. :-)

I’m just glad I’m not in NY.

Anyone who has had a mortgage. Anyone who seeks to buy a property. A whole list of situations to which it could be applied.

It was the same judge? Isn’t that a conflict of interest to be the judge on two cases for same defendant?

There have always been con-artists, today there are a lot more of them that hold college degrees because they were among not only the educable but either had, found or were given the resources to be educated, which helped them hone their skills of making profit at the expense of others.

All the firefighters who chanted Trump have been mandated to attend re-education. Must not embarrass the Queen
