NEWS: Speaker Johnson wants a 1-1 meeting w/ President Biden before moving forward on supplemental aid package, per source.
Biden called Johnson in Jan & held that big session with leaders. But Johnson wants a solo meeting.
His latest request to the WH was just over a week ago.
Steve Scalise told me tonight:
“The President can't say he's serious about Ukraine or the border when he refuses to meet with the Speaker so they can come to an agreement on this issue."
Johnson wants to meet with Biden one-on-one so they can come to an agreement on a path forward for aid to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan *and* border security, per source.

I'm sure this is really about observing Biden's communication skills....
The last time Johnson requested a meet, Biden would only talk to him by phone.
Johnson WILL cave. The way to handle this if you weren’t planning on caving is to say and do nothing. This fool goes to him! That’s signals that YOU want the deal even more than Biden who, with half a brain, can still run circles around Johnson.
Bullseye! My first thought, too. Speaker Johnson wants an up-close look at Biden's mental condition when he's not reading a teleprompter or cue cards, onr answering pre-approved questions.

There are a couple of possible reasons to do this that do make sense.
1. Considering that Biden has turned him down already, this request could have been made assuming that he would be turned down again. Johnson could then claim that he had obviously made every attempt to work with Biden and that he’d been rejected, thus absolving the Republicans of blame for any claim of “they’re not willing to compromise.” It’d be all about generating an image, which is important these days.
2. It could be an opportunity to directly observe Biden by himself and therefore get grounds to impeach him based on directly observed behavior.
Is it either of these? Don’t know. But there *are* good reasons to do this.

Everyone trying to explain this away is wishful thinking and copes.
( Biden could send shells on an emergency basis like he did for Israel. So even the “urgency” of this is artificially created)
Why should Johnson meet with a puppet?
Remember, Mike Johnson spent almost 20 years as a Constitutional Lawyer. His observations will mean a lot if they want to make Biden turn his powers over to Kamala.
It is a trap that Johnson is setting up. Biden is obviously mentally gone, so he can see just how bad Biden is, or Biden has to come to the table and defend why he won’t close the borders.
Either way it is a L for Biden and his puppeteers.
Here comes the sell out.

Ukraine will not exist if Johnson & the GOP fund this war more.
I have never seen corruption and utter stupidity at such a level before.
