‘Appalled’: Reagan’s Daughter Says Dad Would Want Nothing To Do With Today’s GOP

Patti Davis, daughter of former President Ronald Reagan, said he doesn’t think her father would be embraced by today’s Republican Party ― and that the feeling would be mutual.

“I don’t think he would... and I don’t see how he would want to be in it,” she told CNN’s Jim Acosta on Sunday. “It’s so diametrically opposed to what he believed and to the dignity that he felt that people in government should have.”

She mentioned Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) trying to get into a physical fight with labor union leader Sean O’Brien in the middle of a Senate committee hearing last year.

“My father would be appalled at this,” she said. “This is not a bar. This is in the Senate chambers.”

Piss off Patti. Your dad is gone. No way to ask him.

Your father? The one that went off on the press demanding his microphone be turned back on?

Your father would be appalled that todays rinos have let the communists in.

Note that the dumb bimbo doesn't mention the other "incident" in the Senate chambers - the InsertErection...

America isn’t a white Christian majority country anymore like it was back when Reagan was president.

Reagan would have a stroke if he saw what the democrat party has become. His passion was to bring an end to communism.

Like most conservatives, I loved Reagan, he was the right man at the right time. But at this point it’s been 40 years since he last ran for President in 1984 and more than 20 since he passed away. The point is, bringing up Reagan and discussing what Reagan would do or not do today is only marginally more relevant than trying to guess what George Washington would do. It’s simply a different world than it was 40 years ago.

Her father was undoubtedly appalled by her, but he loved her anyway. As for “today’s GOP,” they would want nothing to do with Ronald Reagan.

Neither Reagan nor Washington was god, but their takes on matters transcends the vicissitudes of transient political gyrations. As Scalia said of the Constitution, wisdom is “enduring.”

Wow. Patti Davis evidently has the power to contact deceased people. Please Patti, tell us how Alexander Hamilton feels about the tax code today. I think he’d find it to be too complicated, but I want to be sure.

In 1980 whites were 80%. Now we’re 58%.

Patti Davis was and always will be a lefty commie sympathizer. Unfortunately her and her brother, the ballerina, were never a credit to Reagan.

If Reagan were alive today and saw how the Neocons derailed his presidency and spiraled the US into wars across the planet he would be Trump’s biggest supporter.

The last person to pretend to speak for Ronald Reagan’s political views is Patty Reagan. She spent his entire political life being an embarrassment to him. Nancy’s kids were both ridiculous.

If Reagan would have been appalled by the lack of decorum within the GOP, what does she think he would have thought about the Democrats?

That is what she or whoever interviewed left out.
