Democratic San Francisco Mayor London Breed on Thursday joined other major-city leaders from her party supporting a California ballot initiative that would increase penalties for certain retail theft and drug crimes, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

“Our goal is not to keep people locked up,” said Breed, who is running for reelection in 2024, according to the Chronicle. “But when there are no real consequences for crimes that are committed in this city, that’s a real problem.”

This is the contempt Dem pols have for their constituents - and their constituents fall for it, over and over.

They always get leftist to bail them out, so why not put a visible ring around their neck that cannot be taken off, and preferably have a tracker on it.

When the stop, question and frisk (all 3 is the correct saying) was in place along with new mandatory sentencing the NYC and the State of NY, one police commissioner said: One reason crime, especially violent crime, is so much down is a lot of the repeat offenders are in prison now and not on the streets. That has made a real difference.”

They didn’t go for the real solution: he death penalty. A felon with 180 crimes can no longer go on to commit about 180. That’s a “deterrent” whether the wimpy moronic leftists think so or not.

Maybe hanging a few of them will create a feeling of fear in the criminals.

Now the same party and in part people that managed the place into a cesspool, will ask to be elected or re-elected because they’re going to address the problems they created.

The San Francisco government is knowingly and deliberately allowing a major fencing operation to buy and sell stolen goods just one-and-a-half blocks from a police station

“But when there are no real consequences for crimes that are committed in this city, that’s a real problem.”

There are, of course, consequences to every one of these crimes - ask the victims. The problem is that now those consequences are touching the people who were protecting the criminals in addition to the victims themselves, who still don't count.

This is not the first time that crime was out of control in San Francisco. In the 1850s it was not a safe place to be and the citizen’s rose up to enforce the law.

I think the only reason that this has not happened today is the people that could do this have left San Francisco (if not California).

San Francisco is doomed because the Vandals have entered the gates of the city and the city is running out of tribute to pay them (by allowing them to steal without consequences).

Businesses are leaving and without businesses cities can not exist.

When they are locked up they are not stealing.

This is not complicated.

“preferably have a tracker on it”?

Preferably have about 10 ounces of C-4 in it that can be remotely detonated!
