@GovLarryHogan
I am running for the United States Senate – not to serve one party – but to stand up to both parties, fight for Maryland, and fix our nation's broken politics. It’s what I did as Maryland’s governor, and it’s exactly how I'll serve Maryland in the Senate. Let’s get back to work.

I guess if the people of MD are dumb enough to make him governor, they’re dumb enough to make him a senator.
DC already is overflowing with idiots.
One of the NeverTrumpers becomes a team player for the GOPee.
Just what we need. Another GOP self-righteous back stabber in the Senate.
Uh, no thanks. There’s enough RINOs in the National Zoo. Stay home, Larry.
Sounds OK to me. He might be the best you’re ever going to see as a Republican senator from a state like Maryland.
not to serve one party – but to stand up to both parties,
This is a great thing for several reasons:
1) It means his delusion of running for president is over
2) He has a decent chance of winning
3) He is significantly more conservative than whatever Democrat he will be running against
I always vote for the most conservative candidate running.
My guess is that in Maryland, as weak as he is, that would be Hogan.
Will he run as an Independant, or just another Mitt Romney reboot?
I can't stand the prick, but you're right.
McTraitor 2.0
Well, lah dee frickin’ dah!
He’s only in it for the free lunches ...
Ditto.
Maryland is dominated politically by the City of Baltimore and Montgomery and PG counties. The rest of the state is purple and, if you get far enough west of the I-270 commuter sewer, parts of it are staunchly red. Three Republican House seats should be a reasonable baseline, with four possible in a good year. Maryland from time to time manages to elect a moderate Republican governor. One would think it should be able to elect a moderate Republican Senator in a good year.
But still, the reality is that Trump is an anchor around the necks of Republicans in most of the state. We are better off with a Larry Hogan than with anyone the dems might vomit up.
Hogan replaces Romney.
>This is a great thing for several reasons:
Yeah, no negatives with this. He’ll be whipped to vote in line like every other GOP member.
