By merely asking for examples, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas calmly destroyed respondents’ argument for disqualifying former President Donald Trump from Colorado’s 2024 presidential primary ballot.
The moment came on Thursday morning, during oral arguments on Trump’s appeal to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s Dec. 19 decision to keep him off the Centennial State’s 2024 primary ballot. Colorado’s highest court claimed in its ruling that the former president can be “disqualified” from holding office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which stipulates that “[n]o person” who has previously sworn an oath as an officer of the United States and has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion shall” serve in any of an enumerated list of offices of the United States.
The president and vice president are not included in this list of positions.

Neither side brought up the 1968 Eldridge Cleaver case. The Peace and Freedom Party nominated Cleaver for president, even though he was only 31 & therefore ineligible. The courts ruled that he could not be barred from the ballot.
All the attacks against PDJT involve very abstract charges. No specifics.
Meanwhile, justice Roberts was visibly sweating as he tried to figure out how he could side with justice Brown on this.
Even Justice Jackson was hammering this guy.

File a bar complaint against the attorneys?
Ask the DOJ to investigate those state actors for election interference?
Demand that the state actors be removed from office for violating the terms of their office?
Sue the state actors for violating the voters constitutional rights?
Protest every state actor at their house, office, children’s school, wife’s employment, etc.?
Shut down every interstate in that state?

God bless U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, one of the best SCOTUS Justices ever. Why?
Because Thomas CONSISTENTLY does the job ALL SCOTUS justices should, but rarely, do: IMPARTIALLY apply the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended to the facts as the basis for their opinion and decision.
Clarence Thomas is such a great hero to me.
One would think he would be an inspiration to Black students.
I am 100% in agreement, FRiend. I hope that at some point in my life, I have a chance to meet justice, Thomas, and shake his hand as I look him in the eye.

Of course. But given the way, the left operates, they have no choice in their endeavor to be consistent with their ideology by painting him as a house, Negro, or an Uncle Tom.

He’s brilliant. And he does everything so calmly and in a matter-of-fact way.
(I think the only time I’ve seen seen him really ‘exercised’ was in the ‘high-tech lynching’ speech.)
