Biden is losing to Trump by five points in the new NBC poll. Biden is getting smoked in almost every category, including having the necessary mental and physical health to be president, not, one assumes, an incidental matter when you are seeking to be president again.
These numbers represent such a debacle, I understand why so many smart people assume that Democrats will switch out Biden — because he represents an insane bet for their party. I don’t think that’s going to happen, though. They’ve got to, as I mentioned the other day, hope the economy keeps improving and that they can disqualify Trump, including through the lawfare campaign against him.
Lawfare is the bright spot for Biden in this poll, by the way, since he pulls ahead in the hypothetical matchup if Trump is convicted. But we don’t know how voters will really react if that conviction comes, especially if it is in the ridiculous Alvin Bragg case that looks like it’s going to go first and easily could be the only one to go to trial this year.
The recent Quinnipiac poll is incompatible with this one, but for the moment it seems like an outlier.
Polls do not mater - its how many ballots can be counted multiple times to win.
Joe Biden is not going to drop out because it is the nature of totalitarians to rule until their last breath and to hell with the people they rule.

The “economy” is NOT improving, every month they revise the posted numbers downward. It is one BIG lie which you will find out shortly.
I am also starting to believe Joe will try to stay on the ticket in November while refusing to debate
I think the numbers are made up in order to show momentum. Trump shouldn’t even mention the polls. He should just continue to talk border and the effects it has on the working class. That and maybe talk about the wars.

Beyond this -- and, I would postulate, more importantly -- the reality of the economic situation is, politically-speaking, less important than the public perception of the economy. And that isn't going to improve between now and November.
The rich are doing very well under Biden.
The Democrats have always been the Party of the Rich.
The democrat nominee this August will be Hillary Clinton.
She will graciously allow herself to be the savior.
There will be wailing weeping screams of gratitude in the aisles.
