The battle for Avdiivka, the Ukraine-held key town in Donetsk region, had another development as sources indicate that Russians forces broke through the defenses, and entered the town on the north side.
Up until that point, most activity was centered in the south, where the besiegers have reached the outskirts of the urban area, and Kiev regime evacuated the civilian population.
Pro-Ukrainian Journalist, Senior Editor Security Policy and Conflicts at German Paper BILD, Julian Röpke wrote in his X social media account that forces invading from the north secured a foothold inside the city:
Russian invasion forces advanced appr. 1500 meters inside #Avdiivka, capturing the entire northern dacha quarter & securing a foothold in the northern part of the city itself.
— Julian Röpcke (@JulianRoepcke) February 2, 2024 Ukraine defends one front (Stepove) successfully, but is incapable to defend the entire town.
‘Ukraine defends one front (Stepove) successfully, but is incapable to defend the entire town’, Röpke wrote.
This story is developing, and hasn’t broken in the MSM yet, but not only is this story coming from Ukrainian sources – meaning they are not ‘Moscow propaganda’ – but there is also geo-located footage from Ukrainian drones showing Russian fighters inside the Avdiivka urban area.
Russia outguns and outmans the Ukrainian defenders. Pro-Russian analyst and news aggregator Simplicius the Thinker reported:
“As the former platoon commander of the nationalist battalion ‘Aidar’ Yevgeny Dikiy said, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will apparently have to leave Avdiivka.
According to Dikiy, the likelihood of the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrawing from Avdiivka is growing every day for one reason: ‘shell hunger’, as well as the approach of Russian troops to the supply route.”
As it’s usually the case, the military top leaders, headed by General Zaluzhny, advocate to retreat from the town to more stable defensive lines, while the political leaders led by Zelensky want to hold the town at all costs.
Kiev Post reported:
“Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday said that his troops had broken through to the [southern] outskirts of Avdiivka, which has been a high-priority target for Moscow […]
In televised remarks that come about two months before Russian presidential elections, Putin claimed that troops ‘broke through the enemy’s defenses and reached the outskirts of Avdiivka. ‘They captured 19 houses and are holding them’, he claimed.”
It's past time to end the taxpayer funding of this farce and force the Ukrainians to negotiate an end to the war.
Why don’t you go over there and “force the Ukrainians”?
Let me get this straight, you don’t want us to use our funds to support Ukraine, but you DO want us to force Ukraine to surrender.
Converting Russia

Take at look at the deal the Ukes had with the Minsk Agreements. The terms would have basically been the same on the deal negotiated in the Erdogan process in March, ‘22. Now you see what they’ve lost and Putin knows he must take measures to protect Russia from the globalists. After two years of DC intransigence, Putin has just started talking about the need for a buffer zone. NATO will leave Ukraine a rump state.
Zelensky and Zaluzhny are locked in a peeing contest while their army crumbles. The White House is paralyzed and can’t make any tough decisions.
No time for amateurs and stooges. Bring back a real POTUS.
Unfortunately for Ukraine, Joe Biden is unwilling to compromise with the Republicans to help Ukraine.
You Putin stooges have been saying for the last 4 months that this battle was already over, lol
In the meantime, Russia has had 30,000 troops killed for mere incremental territorial gains
By any objective measure, that’s stupid & incompetent
Avdiivka and Bakhmut, are the most well-conscieved traps Ukraine has imposed on naive Russian Generals.
Russia have depleted itself beyond the point of no-return in those two locations.
Ukrainians are true “Napoleons”. Strategy on the next level.
Speaking of failed invasions, when do you think Putin will finally admit defeat?

Big Win For Russia At World Court; ICJ Rejects Kyiv's 'Aggressor State' Charge Against Moscow
Judge also said "Court does not find it necessary or appropriate to grant any other forms of relief requested by Ukraine"
The odd thing is that Russia has proven that its army is incompetent but Russian arrogance still grows and they double down on threats to Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and the West in general. They also keep doubling down on Stalin nostalgia.
Ukrainians have a right to us and NATO after this is all over. I’m sure obvious by now to many, if not most, this war was never about defending Ukraine but one fought for the benefit of Western elitists.
If America is still united, we'll have to invade Canada. Islam is not going to be satisfied after taking Canada. In fact, they have footholds in Minneapolis and Dearborn, not far from the Canadian border.
Arrogance is a fatal flaw in any war leader ... it makes you over-estimate your own abilities and underestimate your opponent’s
And Putin as shown it since the beginning ... invaded with too-small a force, in the middle of winter (”No need to worry about the spring mud, our boys will be home before the snow melts! We’re Mighty Russia, a Superpower!”), keeps thinking Ukraine will be an easy fight
Ukraine’s remarkable resistance is inspiring the World!
Ukrainians are true “Napoleons”.
- This doesn’t bode well for Ukraine. -
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
On the contrary, it does!
Russia (30 times bigger than Ukraine) was supposed to take all of Ukraine within a week! Remember? Putin boasted about it, Russian TV boasted about it.... well it went CAPUT with those dreams.
Two years later Russia has lost 50% of the land area they initially had succeeded in taking in Ukraine. That’s a spectacular and massive retreat.
Ukrainians are fighters and they know strategy, that’s why Russia is losing, not able to advance a single mile in what... a year?
