Being on the lower end of the food chain being a farmer let me state my opinion on this.

Reason for high food prices

High land cost

High energy oosts

High labor coats

High equipment costs - Just paid $63,000 for half ton pickup

High employee benefit costs

And above all high regulatory costs

He doesn’t need it. The MSM will be trumpeting this January jobs report for the next 10 months.

I am not a farmer, but when my wife complains about high food prices, I tell her what you said.

Jo Jo. Here’s a little Economics 101 for you and your economic “expert” morons. Eight million foreign freeloaders, each with a “fistful of dollars” does have a tendency to drive up the cost of EVERYTHING. Jughead. Look it up.

Vintage Stalin. Prices are high, so blame the producers, then find a way for government to jam its chubby fingers in to break it more.

Joe Biden’s reputation as a nitwit, a fabulist, a racist, and a greedy thief is well established. There’s good reason why he was widely known as the “dumbest man in Washington” during his Congressional career.

When I saw the jobs numbers hit today, I knew the election year juicing of the economy was on. Expect nonstop “things are so awesome and it’s all because of Biden” news stories from now until November

His propaganda team isn’t even good anymore. He was suppose to say he will lower prices if he is re-elected.

Just paid $63,000 for half ton pickup

You paid to much, I just bought a Silverado 1 ton with a service body and paid $64K out the door, I flew to my house in Arizona and bought it there and had my friend fly my plane back and I drove the truck back. In 6 months I will transfer it to California Plates, you have to wait a year to do it. Saved $10K

[...] price gouging, junk fees, greedflation, shrinkflation,' he said at a speech in South Carolina last week.

Can all be subsumed under a single term: Bidenflation.

Major supermarkets make about 2 cents on the dollar. There is no room to cut.

https://www.rbth.com/business/336676-how-food-prices-decreased-under-stalin-ussr

Soviet newspapers dedicated entire pages to the price reduction, telling citizens about economic well-being and the accessibility of goods. On April 2, 1953, the front page of Pravda praised the sixth price reduction: “The current price reduction, as all the previous ones, is the result of the achievements reached by our people under the leadership of the Party in developing industrial and agricultural production; it’s the result of the systematic growth of labor productivity and the reduction of produce costs. The Soviet people are directly interested in the growth of their labor productivity, since they know that it reinforces the economic might of the USSR and raises the living standards of the working people.”

It “worked” for them.............................

Cuba and, more recently, Venezuela forced producers to sell at a loss. How did that turn out in the long run?
