Biden has been celebrating the latest GDP data as a victory for his administration and proof that his economic policies have worked to keep the economy afloat and help it recover after the pandemic.

The left is going bonkers over this comment. I think they are taking what Larry said out of context. Correct me if I am wrong

“I was wrong about the slowdown and the recession. So was the entire forecasting fraternity” — Really hard to argue that that’s taken out of context.

$2+ Trillion deficits are balancing any depressive effects higher interest rates are having, even while the middle class continues to get strip-mined.

Kudlow’s comment about the probability of an economic slowdown and recession does NOT mean he’s praising Biden’s economy.

It's a Potemkin economy: most of the "growth" is GDP bloated by deficit spending and much of the "jobs" growth is more public employees.

A lot of the deficit spending goes directly to asset inflation in stocks & real estate for the upper class. Plus the BLS should be called the "Bureau of Lying Statistics" because job growth & other figures are reduced sharply downwards a month or two after the regime propping headlines.

Here’s the deal.... is the economy doing well? Unemployment is low. My stock portfolio is killing it. People are spending money. Prices are still sky high (and will stay that way), although they appear to be rising at a lower rate.

But we’re on borrowed time. The government spends $2T more annually than it takes in. Its unsustainable. So enjoy it while it lasts.

A complete distortion of what Kudlow said. I watched that segment. He thinks Biden’s policies are a disaster.

He fails to realize that the Biden Economy is a high inflation model designed to reduce the value of debt and fixed incomes using the resulting wealth to advance crony capitalism and re-distributive goals including foreign wars, green initiatives, municipal support, etc.

Problem is that the consumer has to pay it all back through higher prices. But, as always, the perpetrators will be long gone when momma figures out that she can’t even afford a pork chop to put in with her greens.

How would a crazy Italian reporter Guilia Carbonaro know what Kudlow meant?
