As signs point to the 2024 presidential election being a repeat of the 2020 race between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, Biden holds a lead over Trump 50 - 44 percent among registered voters in a hypothetical general election matchup, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll of registered voters released today. ***
In today's poll, Democrats (96 - 2 percent) and independents (52 - 40 percent) support Biden, while Republicans (91 - 7 percent) support Trump.
The gender gap is widening.
Women 58 - 36 percent support Biden, up from December when it was 53 - 41 percent. Men 53 - 42 percent support Trump, largely unchanged from December when it was 51 - 41 percent.
"The gender demographic tells a story to keep an eye on. Propelled by female voters in just the past few weeks, the head-to-head tie with Trump morphs into a modest lead for Biden," said Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy. ***
In a hypothetical 2024 general election matchup between President Biden and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, a former United Nations Ambassador and South Carolina Governor, 47 percent of voters support Haley and 42 percent support Biden.
In today's poll, Democrats (87 - 10 percent) support Biden, while Republicans (79 - 4 percent) and independents (53 - 37 percent) support Haley.

Perhaps. But Quinnipac is known for its leftist slant. And, it appears to be an outlier result.
These punk kids at this small school (6,000 students) obviously don’t get that as students and as liberals they have absolutely no credibility to the average working adult in the US.
And abortion... if it is on the ballot, no Republican will win the state.
I keep reading that Trump is ahead in nationwide polls and in every “swing state.”
This same company had Trump losing Iowa in 2020..they are hardly reliable..but in a way Im glad they released this BS, gives Trump incentive in bringing in the best VP candidate he can possibly bring in..because that pick is going to decide the election PERIOD..if he picks a flake, he loses, if he picks a good one, he wins..the Dems ONLY issue they can run on is abortion..unfortunately it is what it is here in America, we are not a pro life country, women, dont care about crime, or inflation, or wars, or open borders, they want abortions, many many abortions, thats it..

Trump cant react to Haley the way he did in New Hampshire, he cant take the bait..he just has to say “Im not going to respond to her attacks, she has every right to attack me but Im focused on beating Biden” if he sticks to that, he will win
I find this poll hard to believe. Biden is by far the worst president of my lifetime. Even Jimmy Carter looks great by comparison.

Keep dreaming. Trump will always be Trump. At his age there is no reason to believe he will change. The cake long ago was baked with female suburbanites.
The poll uses registered voters as the sample. An unreliable practice. Likely voters poll is recognized as being more accurate.
Any poll that has Haley winning is obviously wrong

The voting gap in all polls is there. It’s even worse with single women, (65% for Biden) they hate the name calling, when asked why they won’t vote for Trump it is cited as one of the top reasons ahead of issues, they voted this way in 2020 and made it close enough to cheat. Trump is a smart guy but on this he continues to sabotouge his chances
This poll has Haley edging out Traitor Joe that makes it BS to me. That said, l don’t like Trump’s chances in the general. The rats will find a way to get abortion on the ballots and they will convince women en masse that the Republicans will push through a national abortion ban. If the GOP was willing to conduct political war they would put these abortion initiatives on the primary ballots.

I wouldn’t dismiss this so casually. I’m betting that the majority of Biden supporters know that he’s just a place holder for those actually running the administration. They will vote for Biden because they would prefer a shadow govt over Trump any day.
