The Chinese Foreign Ministry was purportedly informed by the ambassador of Ukraine to Beijing that Kyiv is “committed to the one-China principle,” claiming that Taiwan is a province of China while rejecting the existence of the state of Taiwan.
The remarks were allegedly made by Ambassador Pavlo Riabikin on Monday in a readout released by the Chinese Foreign Ministry at a meeting with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong in Beijing, China.
However, some critics of China maintained on social media platforms that one cannot trust any material that is released by the Chinese government or press.
The majority of the two years since Russia invaded Ukraine have been devoted to the Ukrainian government’s attempts to overtly or subtly persuade China, a close ally of Moscow, to switch sides and back Ukraine, or at the very least assist in the reconstruction of the cities that the Russian attacks destroyed.

Did the US Dept of State order this?
“ Did the US Dept of State order this?”
************************************
Well, they order just about every other thing Ukraine says or does.
State did Nazi this coming.
The US has strategic interests in Taiwan.
And no interests whatsoever in Ukraine.
Why would Ukraine advocate against US strategic interests?
Oh yeah, they are already doing so by encouraging us to supply/fund their war efforts, clearly in opposition to US interests.
Cut them off. Now!
So, what does he think of the one Russia principle.
Moron.
Can I be the one to cut off Zelensky?
Fiona is the Hill Ukraine will die on.

The United States approach to Taiwan has remained consistent across decades and administrations. The United States has a longstanding one China policy, which is guided by the Taiwan Relations Act, the three U.S.-China Joint Communiques, and the Six Assurances. We oppose any unilateral changes to the status quo from either side; we do not support Taiwan independence; and we expect cross-Strait differences to be resolved by peaceful means.
Taiwan does not claim to be an independent state. It claims its government is the one, true government of all of China. When the U.S. officially adopted the one China policy, Taiwan was booted out of the United Nations because it was not a nation state.
“Ukraine Ambassador Expresses Anti-Taiwan Sentiment, ‘Committed To The One-China Principle’
Okay then, we’re committed to the one Russia principle.u
If we go postal here, China will be in Taiwan in minutes.
I hope this awakens you Zelensky/Ukraine cheerleaders, but I certainly won't hold my breath on that. Because even the destruction of our nation hasn't swayed you useful idiots.
If the US wanted One Free China, we should have decided that in 1948, as the US has already Gone Postal for a couple of decades now.
I think trust in the west has broke, that happen when lie all the time, and now they seeking help from china
There is huge difference between “Policy” and “Principle”.
The CCP government is very good at playing word games, where a country says they agree with the “Policy” and they misrepresent it as them supporting the “Principle”.
They’ve done it with the US position for years. I will reserve judgement on this until we see what the UKR person actually said.
Funny enough, what happened in China in 1946-1949 is exactly what is happening in Ukraine now.
Where the Soviet foments an uprising with their puppet the CCP against the Nationalist government of China, and the US, which supported the Nationalists, gave up supporting them because the Nationalists were too “autocratic” and too “corrupt”. Both of which were true.
Eventually the Nationalist fell, of course after Stalin died the Communist stooge Mao decide to turn on his masters.
I’m talking about an actual civil war.
As for Taiwan being recognized from 1948 on, I think we
should have done that.
The United States is also committed to the One China principle, and has been since 1972.
