BRYAN, Texas – A fire at Feather Crest Farms in Northeast Brazos County ignited on Monday evening and officials said the chicken farm may be burning for days until it’s fully extinguished.
KBTX in Bryan said the fire started at 5 p.m. east of Kurten and multiple fire departments from Brazos, Robertson, and Madison counties responded.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. KBTX reported the flames were contained in two buildings.

Fried chicken. (Licks fingers) mmmmm mmmmm woooooo weeere dis iz guuuud!
Just one of those things…ya know…like the other 200 critical food supply chain links that have burned over the last 3 years 🤷♀️
That now makes about 3 dozen food processing or related companies to mysteriously burn down ({{cough}} CHINA), but who’s counting? Certainly not the media.
Weird how its always chicken farms that burn.
(Of course, now we need to suffer through all of the low hanging fruit of obligatory “fried chicken” jokes that will predictably pop up. Sigh...)
Re: 3 - That’s a meaningless number unless there is historical data to compare it to.
It might scare ignorant people. That’s about it.
I can imagine the smell.
Mound dirt up and smother it.

“Ain’t nobody got time for that!” meme.
That stuff’s seriously BROASTED and very, very well done. Too crispy for me...

18,000 cows.
Feather Crest Layer and broiler farm. New feed mill built in last year. SE if Bryan TX. Google earth shows the chicken houses and the feedmill under construction. Odd that a newly built multi million dollar feed mill would spontaneously combust. 👀
Here I thought new commercial construction had guidelines for safety and maybe even sprinkler systems required.
Just another coinky-dink. Nothing to see here, move along…
It’s up to 200 now? It’s worse than I knew. China’s control over our food supply is raising every month. Rep Grace Wang is successfully torpedoing house bills to stop the growth. That’s “WANG”, W-A-N-G, daughter of her daddy who is a CCP party immigrant.
Spontaneous Avian Combustion.
Told them damn chickens not to smoke in the roost.
To keep the diversity police off their back, the company probably hired some ISIS special force provocateurs who just crossed the southern border.
Weird how its always chicken farms that burn.

Don’t know about that. But chicken farms, egg productions, etc
have a lot of material on the floor where the chickens are kept.
Not sure what the use today but in the past we used saw dust and
shavings from saw mill facilities. Spread a couple inches deep to
make clean up easier. Today I don’t know what they use.
I’ve worked at two different chicken farms and neither one caught fire.
There were plenty of other chicken farms in the area and none of them caught fire either.
Either all these fires are the result of the general decay of our infrastructure (even though Brandon signed the $1.9 trillion “bipar sinnafunalakshina gammwich” as he put it) or someone is intentionally setting the fires.
The fact that they never seem to get caught makes me think it’s not the latter.
