I’m told by Ukrainian govt source that reports of the firing of top general Valery Zaluzhny look to be true. We await confirmation by presidential order - but this appears to be a done deal.

He’s the one who said dig in and draft 500k.

He’ll be proven correct.

Every single day...we read reports of tremendous Russian losses in equipment and manpower.

With all this success day after day after day...why would Ukraine “sack” their top General?

“Sacked”?
British style or North Korean style?

The General should follow the lead of some folks around here—issue thousands of pages of press releases showing what a wonderful job he is doing.

Lol.

Hitler sacked a lot of his Generals too.

Hitler sacked a lot of his Generals too.

So did FDR. Actual war has a tendency to shake out the incompetent and the malcontents.

Ukrainian media reporting that Zaluzhny is out as the army’s commander-in-chief, replaced by Kyrylo Budanov, head of military intelligence.

It’s an impossible situation. Whoever replaces him will do no better.

Kyrylo Budanov, head of military intelligence.

Talk about an oxymoron.

I’m disappointed. I was hoping Alexander Vindman would take the job. :-P

In Hitler’s case, he sacked them because they told him what he didn’t want to hear. He refused to accept their recommendations. FDR didn’t micro-mange our military, but Hitler did his.
