Trump must pay $ 83.3 MILLION to E. Jean Carroll for defamation, a federal jury has ruled
Two words could have changed this whole situation.
Instead of calling her a liar and whack job, all he needed to do was say “I believe she is a lying whackjob.”
That's where I got it
Obviously, she has deleted her accounts, but someone smarter than I grabbed the files before they disappeared
She accuses him of rape around 30 years ago - she can’t remember the exact date - and there is no evidence, no witnesses, no DNA presented, no videotape, and SHE is the one who is defamed?
Take a good long hard look folks: This is tyranny 101 right in your face. If they can do this to a former President imagine what they will do to you.
Is it that much of a stretch now to believe between what happened to the Jan.6th stolen election protestors and this, that they will lock up anyone who doesn’t toe the Marxist line? And this tyranny will be a special kind of hell because it will be run by the dumbest mofos you ever came across in your life, morons who believe me cooking a hot dog on a gas stove is a bigger threat to earth than the Chicxulub asteroid.
Wow! Never saw that before. Let me guess: The judge ruled it inadmissable.
The media will always have their talking points. If they don’t have any, they’ll make them up. You’re essentially advocating that Trump stay quiet about one media lie so they won’t create another one to hurt him with. That’s the same loser strategy that Republicans have been using for years. Trump’s where he is for a reason. He doesn’t go on defense. If he did he’d have a lot fewer scandals to his name and he would have long been forgotten as the failed candidate who tried to defeat Hillary.
Why doesn’t MTG file impeachment against this judge?
“It’s just a civil judgment. Good luck trying to collect”.
You don’t know how relieved I am to read that. Thank you.
Thanks ! Almost sounds like Ann Landers (if you remember her) warmed over......hmmm
It doesn’t help that the left will go after any lawyer that takes him as a client.
Trump has yet to learn and practice routinely with self-discipline:
Talk smart.
Write smart.
Trump plays to an audience, because his businesses are promotions and showmanship.
Trump throws a verbal punch and tunes in to how his audience reacts. He attracts people who like to watch a fight.
Yet in private, Trump does think about worthy deeds. He is always in the ring, sparring with himself.
Trump throws errant verbal punches, because he greatly feels alone. He is trying to protect himself.
That feeling is constantly interfering with his wish to do well. Sometimes, he is able to do well - and specifically help people - he loves that.
Losing his mother-in-law, took a toll, because she knew all this and respected him.
Trump’s problem with choosing people, is rooted in his attempts to find loyalty that will reduce his sense of being alone.
But Trump is often sent candidates, or they present themselves, who (in corridors of power) are able to appear as loyal.
That leads to trouble for him in politics and with “the legal profession,” when Trump finds his choice has a mind to actually oppose him (GOPe RINO’s), or Trump un-necessarily inflicts a wound against himself, because again, he has yet to learn and practice routinely with self-discipline:
Talk smart.
Write smart.
Similar to the struggle of General Patton.
IMHO
“He only hires the best people after all. Except when it comes to his attorneys.”
But his attornies are ALSO being attacked...
“Has she never stepped foot in a red state?”
That’s not how jurisdiction works. The court has to have jurisdiction over all parties in a lawsuit, i.e. it has to have the authority to force a party to submit to its rulings (juris = law, diction = speaking). Plaintiff is easy - they brought the case there so they chose jurisdiction. Defendant has to either live in the state or have sufficient minimum contacts or have committed a tort in the state or committed a tort outside the state that caused harm inside the state. There’s all sorts of technical rules and it’s literally the entire first month of your first semester civil procedure class in law school.
“There is always choices some might not be as legal as others but that is the day we find ourselves in as that is how Liberal Democrats operate but this is the new normal, if it’s good enough for them it’s good enough for us.”
Again that is not how it works. If Trump were to file a lawsuit against her in say Utah it would 1. be thrown out so fast your head would spin, and 2. his lawyers would probably be sanctioned for frivolous conduct.
What is happening to him is an absolute travesty. But it is an unfortunate byproduct of living in/being in/doing things in the bluest areas. You can’t just magically ask Utah to hear your grievance because New York sucks.
Why not Florida? I am sure she’s said and done things while he has been at his home.
(I am asking because I have no clue)
This is a civil not a criminal case
Hope the virgin-eared mods are ok with that one.
She never had children, so what happens when she takes one too many booster shots? I mean, before she gets paid? It seems there would be a big incentive for “the Court” to be her “next of kin”. She has now used up her purpose, people like that seem to pass away soonish. Ask those tied to the Clintons
12 million could have bought the jury!
Good to know. Committed a tort in s jurisdiction. Im sure something can be made up. She’s free to defend herself og course
