(D-Livermore) took a swipe on prosecutors who are soft on violent crime on X, formerly Twitter, Thursday. The Democratic representative was retweeting a story about a 2-year-old boy who was kidnapped when the car he was in was carjacked.

“My wife and I play these scenarios over in our head all the time,” Swalwell tweeted. “We’ve practiced going out through the back seat to get our kids out of our car if we are carjacked.”
