Joe Biden, or more likely his handlers, levied an ultimatum on Thursday, demanding that Gov. Greg Abbott relinquish control of the "disputed" border areas Texas has been securing. That came after 25 states joined together to pledge their support to Abbott as he battles the federal government and its refusal to enforce immigration laws.

Texas is unique in that they have their own grid. The only State that does. I was reading that when they had that deep freeze two years ago that the entire grid almost went down because they aren’t interconnected to outside (other States) sources of electricity. If they can’t bring it in, I don’t know how they can send electricity out?
——
The grid went down because of the darn wind turbines that the libs here said we should use. I believe that issue has been handled.
PedoJoe does that anyway
The War For Independince was also a Civil War.
We’re on the precipice of CWII! Thanks to Brandon! (My guess, there won’t be an election in November.)
Count now up to 25 states that are openly supporting Texas.
Some among the other 24 are passively supporting Texas while others are “neutral.” I believe you’d find very few opposing Abbot’s actions.
Who in their right mind would go to Texas to enforce Biden’s orders?
Thanks for your response. You are right; Texas Gov. is better than VP in some respects; but in view of DJT’s precarious age and other threats to his life and health, Abbott would always be that close to the Presidency; plus I think the times we’re in and the dire predicament of our beloved country, the VP post might just be a higher calling.
There are at least DC ties to other grids. It is a rather innefficient interconnect though.
Situation was brought about to avoid FERC regulation. There are still service areas in Texas not officially under FERC regulation as the AC to DC and back to AC change keeps tham out of interstate commerce.
EXCELLENT!
What states could do is to limit new house size to say no more than 1600 square feet (and 2500 square feet on parcels of more than an acre). This would curtail invader employment and hit remittances hard.
It could all be done in the cause of ‘affordable housing’.
Remittances could also be taxed to fund K-12 education.
The FBI for one corrupted federal bureaucracy ....
Then again many agents would not meet your "right mind" criterium.
What if Biden orders air strikes against Texas troops?
I read a meme relating to this “old men and fighting” stuff.
It said something like old men don’t want to fight, but if they are pushed they will and they will not fight fair and they will do as much harm as possible during the fight! They don’t care anymore about the “rules”; they just want to get back to being an old man.
Half the country wants to be left alone and the other half wants to tell us how we can live, time to Divorce.
Exactly, the only thing they are good for is giving us a headache.
Right, so will the rest of us. Plus it’s not a big deal in LA. It’s 44 degrees here right now, will get warmer as the day goes on. Other states truly WILL freeze.
One of the main reasons the system nearly crashed is because of improper preparation for excess needs. Under the old system, using coal plants, a certain amount of “extra” coal was required to be available during certain weather situations.
With the new natural gas plants, they do not store any “extra” natural gas onsite; it is pumped in as needed. Now, the plants themselves were listed as “critical” equipment, meaning no matter what these systems MUST STAY ON and HAVE POWER!
However, the natural gas lines and pumps were NOT in the system as “critical equipment”, so as the power fluctuated and shut down, the system started turning off NON-critical equipment to preserve electricity, including natural gas lines and pumps...which exacerbated the problem by shutting down natural gas-powered electric plants - OUCH!!
This has now been corrected.
Poor Slo Joe. He does not know what universe he is in, but thinks he is smart.
I'm hoping that Eagle Pass, TX will be Obama's Armageddon.
