LOL!
So true. so true!
Poor Sonny.
Great....let liberal nauseating New Yorkers wallow in what they created and vote for.
In New York state and Massachusetts they read the out of state license plate and then send you a bill by snail mail—if you have no EZ pass.
Presumably they have to communicate in some way with the out of state Department of Motor Vehicles to get that information.
We have never communicated with them directly—other than paying the bill when it arrives.
Turnstyle jumping is now described as a “hack.”
Midtown congestion is caused by trucks delivering and those stupid bike/bus lanes. People avoid subways and do Uber rides. Maybe she's finding out that most cars are exempt from being tolled.
What ticks me off is that I live in Upstate NY. In order to enter NYC, I have to pay a toll. NY residents should be exempt from paying that toll just because we have to drive through NJ.
NYC tried to do something like that years ago for its MTA bridges and tunnels (maybe during the Giuliani administration). It was challenged in Federal court and struck down as a restraint on interstate commerce.
One time I was billed a truck fee. The bill claimed I was driving a truck in TN. I had to fight that one. It was difficult to prove. They said I lent the transponder to that truck.
One thing I do when I go to Florida and rent a car, is I never pay the rental company for the transponder. I simply go to the SunPass website and add the license plate of my rental to my account for the period I have the car, saves a lot of money on tolls if you rent a car.
Same in Pennsylvania too. They read your plate and I receive a bill in the mail about 2 weeks later.
They voted for this over and over and over.
Toll beaters will be filtered out by the color of thier skin
Don’t forget pols and bureaucrats.
Last time I looked public employees were the biggest scoflaws.
I just looked up the area to be tolled.
"Where is congestion pricing in NYC? The congestion zone includes all Manhattan streets and roadways south of and including 60th Street, except for the FDR Drive and West Side Highway (NYS Route 9A). Vehicles that bypass the zone by traveling on the FDR or West Side highway without entering the street grid are not subject to the charge."
I thought it was just the midtown area but it's from 60th street all the way down past City Hall. This is insane.
NY has now created the 15 min city. It's going to cost me $32.00 to visit my mom. Tunnel toll was bad enough, now add this!
^&*%$%#$%
