DeSantis rejects idea he’s ‘skipping’ New Hampshire

The Republican presidential candidate stirred talk of a refocus when he signaled he would visit South Carolina, which holds the first GOP votes in the South, directly after scoring second place in this week’s Iowa caucuses. Days later, a DeSantis campaign official reportedly said that most of the campaign staff would also be relocating to the Palmetto State.

“So we went to South Carolina, knocked out a couple events and then did what we were planning to do in New Hampshire. That was somehow caricatured as ‘skipping’ New Hampshire when it wasn’t. It was adding South Carolina in addition to that,” DeSantis said.

His rondesantis.com page shows no events, while the neverbackdown page has 2 NH events, while the rest are SC ones.

It also shows

NH will be an aberration. Trump will beat Ron in Florida and Nikki in South Carolina.

The DeSantis campaign is spinning like a top.

This is pathetic.

His staff needs to tell him—it is time to stop the stupidity and go back to Florida.

Not only has Rob ran the biggest disaster of a campaign in modern history, but he also can't stop digging a political hole. Someone has it in for him and his career, and he hasn't a clue what's happening

Maybe he will even be severely weakened in Florida by this. That may be the plan.

The dumbass had the chance to bow out somewhat gracefully after Iowa and maybe salvage some dignity for another go in 2028. Now he’s just pathetic.

It may well be that staffers and big contributors are a large part of this disaster—but at the end of the day the candidate can say “no mas” and bail.

South Carolina is a month away.

The action is in NH and DeSantis is getting brutally crushed.

What do you mean NH an aberration. Trump will win bigly. Only question is by how much.
