The widespread pro-Hamas demonstrations, particularly at elite universities, has, ironically, had a positive impact by alerting Americans to the ideological rot infecting higher education. They now realize that the slogan “Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity” (DIE) is not just the latest black civil rights campaign; rather, it is a race-based ideology that demonizes white civilization. Abolishing whiteness means ending the colorblind rule of law, abolishing the merit principle, eliminating constitutionally-protected rights together with limited government and one-person-one-vote democracy, and the economic freedom and all the rest that has made America, America.
Champions of DIE envision a race-based utopia of group, not individual rights, where costs and benefits are decided by all-powerful officials based on one’s status as a member of an oppressed group.
As the diversity office at Johns Hopkins hospital put it, “White people, able-bodied people, heterosexuals, cisgender people, males, Christians, middle or owning class people, middle-aged people, and English-speaking people,” all enjoy privilege. In this utopia, a disabled black trans lesbian would go to the head of the line for admission to MIT, and white males from an affluent family to the back. This is a transformational revolution that redefines family, what is “normal” sex, crime, how laws are enforced, and the values that guide civilized life.
DIE has infiltrated American institutions. Those countless campus rallies demanding the genocide of Jews in Israel, exposed only a part of how higher education has been radicalized; the DIE presence on campus is substantial. According to a 2021 Heritage Foundation report, the average university has 45 people whose jobs directly promote DIE, and there were 3.4 DIE administrators for every 100 tenure-track professors on the average campus, a bureaucracy even larger than the average university’s history department.

The problem is that they are already employed by the governmnet. Now what do you do.

Fire 'em and remove the unconstitutional portion of government.
This trend is already in motion, and it creates a kakistocracy (government by the least qualified).
I was chatting with a friend 30 years ago and he was laughing about how some government employees who clearly weren't working hard were agitating for PEDs in the workplace. Performance Enhancing Drugs? Nope, Personal Entertainment Devices, i.e., small tv's on the desk.
Of course, times have changed, and now everyone has a smartphone, but that's another story.
The point is that we used to laugh at the old Soviet apparatchik class, which didn't do much but had first claim on goods, lodging, and medical care. And, my friend was laughing at our government employees and how outrageous their demands were. Now, we are becoming like the Soviets, with our own privileged government class, most of whom are all but impossible to fire, and don't have to exhibit merit to get or keep their positions. They were pioneers (/S).
DIE will not die. The left is relentless. Acorn became BLM. They never stop, they never reason, coexisting with them is unlikely.
Sadly that ain’t how gubmint “works.”

Why would DIE die?
Its a core political ideology and organizing principle of the massive American left and Democrat Party, and is a tool of the people who control Washington DC and pass out corporate largess from the center. At its core, it is funded by taxpayers and bloated government debt.
DIE and institutional race-gender favoritism (now against whites, conservatives and Christians) is the “warp and woof” of America. Its not going away, unless there is serious upheaval and fundamental change in the USA - which is a long way away
It’s not going away. At best, it will be re-branded, but that’s all. The jealousy and envy that’s driving it is ingrained in several generations of our fellow citizens.
A ton of women and minorities would be fired.
The only merit based evaluation in colleges and universities is the evaluation of athletic skill for an athletic scholarship.
And none of them belong in college. (Some do)
