Circumstances aren't looking good for Fani Willis. The Fulton County, Ga., district attorney who has made a personal crusade out of trying to prosecute Donald Trump now has to give account to a judge regarding the allegations that she is in an improper relationship with one of the special counsels she hired for the Trump case.
"The judge overseeing the election interference case against former president Donald Trump in Georgia has reportedly scheduled a hearing for Feb. 15 to examine recent allegations that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her lead prosecutor 'engaged in an improper relationship and mishandled public money,'” reports Nicole Bennett at WSB Radio.
The Washington Post has a more detailed report explaining that Judge Scott McAfee has ordered Willis to respond in writing to the allegations by Feb. 2, and he has called a hearing about the accusations and scheduled it for Feb. 15.
McAfee is also presiding over the RICO case involving Trump and 18 other co-defendants. Willis is alleged to be in a romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, an attorney with little experience in corruption cases whom the DA hired to serve as a special counsel in the Trump case.
"Willis has declined to address the accusations directly so far," reports the Washington Post's Amy Gardner and Holly Bailey. "McAfee’s order appears to be forcing her to do so in televised court proceedings, a development that could at the least be embarrassing for the district attorney and at worst derail the investigation completely."
Willis spoke out indirectly about the allegations in a speech on Sunday at Atlanta's Big Bethel AME Church. She insinuated that the accusations are steeped in racism, and she defended hiring Wade without addressing the reported relationship between them.

I’m sure Fani is scared.
If I understand it right, it affects Trump and the RICO case, at a minimum, because of the delays. This case may go on after the election in Nov.
I laughed out loud when I read that Wade’s wife, according to
willis, is trying to disrupt her precious court case by demanding to know the relationship between fani and wade. And according to fani, it shouldn’t matter because their marriage is too broken. And she knows this how? It seems, indirectly, she is confirming the charges against her.
“Her efforts to bully her way out of this error will fail her—Race Card and all.”
In a normal, still sane world... perhaps. Alas...
It is a political Church.
I watched some of the video of the speech she read.
Her credibility is ZERO.
But they seem to always give a #ComDem a pass and a get out of jail free card.
The Left...and McAfee...see this trial and Fani’s indiscretions as two separate issues. The later will not be allowed to derail the former. McAfee will see to that.

Atlanta DA Fani Willis Plays the Race Card Giving Proactive Speech at Big Bethal AME Church (Jan 14, 2024)
Tell me that this is a Church? Or a place to preach race hatred.
A church that preaches the gospel of Karl Marx.
Growing up in the old South, my father talked about how white politicians always try to be the first to buy the loyalties of black preachers. Black preachers would then tell the congregation which white person to vote for.
Had a long time North Florida cracker sheriff once tell me that the way to approach a black preacher was to tell him you wanted to contribute to the “building committee”. That way you could pretend the money was given with a legitimate purpose rather than a bribe, while the both of you knew full well the money was going into the preacher’s pocket.
Not much has changed. Black preachers still wield tremendous influence concerning politics.
She’s Black and she hates Trump, her corruption will go unpunished.
“ Not sacrificing any white Democrat DAs are they?”
The only reason that those three got their positions was that that they were willing to be the organ monkey for the white-European fascist money man (Soros). Ideal combinations of arrogance and ignorance, they were more than willing to take their white sugar-daddy’s money to spew out the vile darkness in their own souls.
My family has bridged that crevasse for a hundred years. ?
My ancestors came to this county from Coryell County, TX in 1889. My father's grandfather was born in Texas during the Republic of Texas.
In 1927, an elderly black man walked across my dad's grandfather's field looking for a job. He was from East Texas. His wife had died, his children were grown, it was just before the Great Depression. My dad's grandfather gave him a job, he lived in a house on the farm until my dad's grandfather died in 1946.
His name was Joe Davis, but he was called “Dad” by all the family members. My father was his grandfather's favorite grand child (large family) and he and “Dad” were very close.
My dad's grandfather died before my father returned from WWII. I was born in 1947, my father took me to see “Dad” before he died in 1948. “Dad” was a part of my family.
Members of a black family in a nearby town cared for my family members when they could not stay alone any longer.
My grandmother, my mother, my mother-in-law (lived with me), my uncle, my aunt, and my father. Other family members did not need home care. But some of the family who cared for my family always sat at the funeral of each family member. My father and I attended that families Mother's funeral. All flavors of people were there.
I know a lot about racial kindness over time.
I also know about the harsh reality of the past, both black and white.
Rural people have bonds that don't exist (or are quite rare) in big cities. ‘’
Black churches are political sites.
Not even close.
Indeed
