Former Obama aide Stuart Seldowitz has reached a sweetheart deal doing “anti-bias” training to get hate crime charges dropped over his vile Islamophobic rants at a Big Apple halal cart vendor.
Seldowitz, 64, will submit to a “26-week Anti-Bias Program through Queens Counseling for Change,” Judge Beverly Tatham ruled Wednesday at the prosecution’s request.
If he completes it and has no new arrests or violations of the victim’s protection order, the hate crime charges against him will be dropped, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office confirmed to The Post.

All the same, ‘hate crimes’ are thought crimes are bull crap. I have a few anti-Muslim rants I’d be happy to shout out as well. And a few anti-BLM ones too. And a few other illegal immigrant ethnicities while I am at it.
Racist rants are not illegal.
The First Amendment applies to odious speech too.
““I’ll send your picture to my friends in Immigration. The Mukhabarat in Egypt will get your parents. Does your father like his fingernails? He’ll take them out one by one,” Seldowitz spewed.”
That sounds like a threat. If threats are prosecutable, so be it.
it sounds like he was harassing the guy who was just trying to work for a living.
and as much as I hate the overuse of the words “terroristic threats” it kind of sounds like those were.
26 weeks? How long was the prison term? It might be worth taking the jail time.
Exactly - this is absurd. We are not Europe.
Also, let’s end the special classification of ‘hate crimes’. Murder is murder, assault is assault, etc. If something is done out a hatred of someone’s uniqueness, it’s still the root crime that needs to be punished.
