President Biden has gone from Independence Hall to Valley Forge, painting MAGA as the most toxic and deadly pestilence ever to hit American shores. Rumors abound that he will go to Ford’s Theater next to shoot more holes in the MAGA brand.
His likely opponent in 2024, former President Trump, gets credit for the MAGA (Make American Great Again) slogan. However, has he ever spelled out what MAGA means to him? If we listen to his rallies enough, he dribbles out hints.
One of his most recent endorsements came from Vivek Ramaswamy, who had no trouble spelling out what MAGA means to him. Now that Vivek has ended his 2024 run, Trump would do well to clarify what MAGA means to him and use Vivek’s 10 as a template.
Trump, who is famous for name-calling, apparently does not realize that Biden is busy toxifying the MAGA label. This toxification will have an impact as long as Trump delays in telling us what MAGA means to him.
One of Trump’s supporters, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, made a splash in 1994 with his Contract With America. Hopefully, former Speaker Gingrich can help former President Trump come up with how he plans to Make America Great Again.
Make America Great Again is a great slogan. It tells us what Trump wants to do, and it repudiates Barack “Transform America” Obama. Delicious as that slogan is, America needs more than a slogan in 2024. We need something more specific, such as Gingrich’s Contract With America or Ramaswamy’s Big 10 Truths.
Trump can do much to endear himself to millions of Americans who voted for Biden in 2020 and have voter’s remorse.

This article reminds me of a classic SNL skit between Phil Hartman (bad actor) and Jon Lovitz (his agent). Lovitz makes it very clear that Hartman is washed up. So Hartman wants to know what Lovitz thinks. Then Lovitz tells him that tons of mail is coming in saying Hartman is awful. So Hartman wants to know “what’s the word on the street?”. Finally, Lovitz tells him he’s the worst actor in history. Hartman says “Don’t leave me hanging! Tell me how you feel!”

No. Biden needs to be asked what the letters MAGA means, make him say “Make America Great Again”. (Although he probably has no idea and would just do his nasty smirk). If he would answer, ask the creep what’s wrong with that.

I respectfully disagree. To do so would seem defensive, which is not only contrary to Trump’s nature, but being defensive is also bad strategy in general for any candidate.
Trump has outlined quite clearly what his stance is on the issues, and reiterates them at every rally, every interview, and in a very consistent manner.
If you don’t get what MAGA means by now, you ain’t never gonna get it.
Ned, I think the eight things you listed are just fine, and will solve many of the problems endemic to Bidenomics and Ukraine. Especially “drill, drill, drill”. If we are producign so much oil and natural gas that people buy from us instead of Russia, that will shut Putin down in quick order.

IF the GOP had some talented marketing people, they could roll out a whole series about what MAGA is and absolutely nuke the Dem MAGA demonizing message. And at the same time sell MAGA because it’s actually what people want.

MAGA is really about the enemies it has, mainly the Swamp D and Swamp R team parties, especially those Swamp parties that gave us Bush,Clinton,Bush,Obama and Biden..

I agree with your sentiment, but only partially. Trump could be replaced by a saint doppleganger of him and the MSM would still vilify him and orange man bad.
Everytime anyone attacked Trump, no matter how personal it ever was, the MSM never vilified the attacker. It’s obviously more than just in sports or the play ground where the one who responds always gets punished, but when is the last time Trump sent a mean tweet? Yet that is all they claim that he is pretty much all he does.
