Met Kristol and Christopher Hitchens at a round table affair decades ago. Kristol was a fool. I had much more respect for Hitchens as he was an honest left-liberal but was changing to a less doctrinaire thinker.

Kristol would sell out anyone for power and to show his intellectual prowess. On the latter, he was found “wanting”.
